122 sum of five dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Webb and James N Sherman at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and delivered and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and deliver unto the said John Webb and James N Sherman their executors adm.s and assigns all and singular the goods furniture and house hold stuff herein after particularly mentioned and expressed that is to say all of the cord wood now cut and ready for market lying and being on the farm where the said William Webb nor resides all the crop of wheat and oats now seeded thereon 3 head of horses and one colt one yoke of oxen and one odd steer nine head of cattle fifteen head of sheep ten head of hogs one ox cart three ox yokes four ploughes and Gear three harrows two scythes and cradels three cutting axes three wedges one pitch fork wheat fan one corn cradle one Gig & harness one Bureau twelve chairs one candle stand one Lot of dining & one lot of tea ware one Lot Knives & forks two mahogany & one walnut table five beds Bedsteads and furniture and all the rest of the house hold and Kitchen furniture five hundred pounds of Bacon fifteen Barrells of corn two thousand pounds Blade fodder two Bee hives thirty pounds larid two Bridles & saddles one Lot spades & hoes one Grindstone one lot of Carpenter tools one horse cart one wheel Barrow one cupboard one Desk & Book case and Books one mantle clock one franklin stove two chairs one wollen and three linnen wheels to have and to hold all and singular the said goods furniture house hold and Kitchen stuff herein before granted bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto the said John Webb & James N Sherman their executors adm.s and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said John Webb and James N Sherman their exec.s and adm.s and assigns forever provided always and these presents are upon this condition that if the said William Webb his executors or administrators shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid the aforesaid discribed note and Judgement at or before they shall respectfully become due and payable or by other lawfull means save keep himself and indemnifie the said John Webb and James N Sherman their heirs executors and adms from the payment of the said note and Judgement or from the payment of any one of them or any part of them or one of them and all costs damages or charges as sureties & superseders aforesaid then and from thence fourth as well this present indenture and the property truely granted as the said recited obligation shall cease determine and become absolutely null and void any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding I witness whereof the said William Webb has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above mentioned and within mentioned Signed sealed and delivered William Webb (Seal) in presents of Jos E. Goslin Dorchester County State of Maryland on this 21st day of april One thousand eight hundred and forty three before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state Maryland |
