121 determine and become absolutely null and void any thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding In writing whereof the said Francis Webb has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above and within written Signed sealed and delivered Francis Webb (Seal) in presence of Geo A Z Smith Brannock Moore Dorchester County fs On this tenth day of april anno Domini one State of Maryland thousand eight hundred and forty three before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for the county of Dorchester personally appears Francis Webb he being therein to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be the party grantors to the foregoing indenture or instrument of writing and doth acknowledge the said indenture or instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the intent and purpose herein expressed and contained Acknowledged and taken before Geo A. Z. Smith John Webb and Be it remembered that the following Bill of sale James N Sherman was recorded on the 24th april 1843 to wit Ex.d from This indenture made this 21st day of april anno William Webb domini one thousand eight hundred and forty three by and between William Webb of Dorchester county and state of maryland of the one part and John Webb and James N Sherman both of the county and state aforesaid of the other part whereas the said John Webb and James N. Sherman as sureties to and for the said William Webb have signed sealed and delivered several notes of hand and Judgements to sundry different persons that is to say one note of hand or bill obligatory drawn and executed in favour of and delivered to James Thompson esq for ninety two dollars bearing date the thirty first day of December anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and forty two one Judgement superseeded in favour of John Thompson Esqr bearing date of november one thousand eight hundred and forty two To all of which said note and Judgement the said John Webb and James N Sherman did become sureties and superseeders by and in Compliance with the request and solisitation of the aforesaid William Webb and the said William Webb being desirous to secure and save the said John Webb and James N Sherman against all responsibility as sureties and superseders of the said note and Judgement as aforementioned or described or either or any of them therefore this Indenture Witnesseth that the said William Webb as note for and in consideration of securing the said sureties and superseders from the payment of the note and Judgment aforesaid or from the payment of any or either of their or any part of any or either of them as the |
