administrative costs, and the Department of Transportation
may pay a certain direct subsidy at a rate not exceeding a
certain amount; providing that any such unused funds shall
be retained at the end of each fiscal year in the Motorcycle
Safety Program Account for use during subsequent years; and
providing that the annual motorcycle registration fee shall
be a certain amount if the Motorcycle Safety Program
terminates . ; altering the termination date of the program;
and correcting a statutory cross-reference.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Transportation

13-915.

(b) (1) For each Class D (motorcycle) vehicle, the annual
registration fee is $15.00 SUBJECT TO THE CONTINUED FUNDING BY
THE STATE OF THE MOTORCYCLE SAFETY PROGRAM ACT.

(2) IF THE MOTORCYCLE SAFETY PROGRAM ACT IS REPEALED
AS PROVIDED FOR UNDER SECTION 2 OF CHAPTER 674 OF THE ACTS OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 1983, THE ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE FOR EACH
CLASS D (MOTORCYCLE) VEHICLE SHALL BE $10.

16-605.

(a)  There is a Motorcycle Safety Program Account in the
Transportation Trust Fund.

(b)  There shall be deposited in the Motorcycle Safety
Program Account, and disbursed in accordance with this section,
the following:

(1)  $5.00 for each annual motorcycle registration fee
collected under § 13-915(b) of this article;

(2)  $2.50 for each annual motorcycle registration fee
collected under § 13-915(b) pursuant to § 13-904(b)(2) of this
article; and
