877 The Deposition of Jacob Stallens aged thirty three Year or thereabout who being Deposed upon the holy Evangelist declares as followeth that a bout fifteen year agoe he the Said Depon.t saith that he see a bounded white oake standing near the plantation of his father and in a place called the thickett and seeing the said Tree stand three when the said Depon.t saw his father he asked his father what bound Tree the aforesaid bound white oake was or what he the said Tree did belong to ^&^ his Father said he could not tell what bounded Tree it should be unless it was the bound Tree of Robersons Rest for that he could not tell where the bound Tree of Roberson did stand but did suppose that might be the Tree but could not tell but only by supposition And further saith that Octob.r 12.th 1712 W.m Turner (S) George Young (S) Thomas Trueman Greenfeilds Depositions about Trent neck taken by Virtue of a Comission out of Chancery Directed to Col Henry Lowe Cap.t Jowles & M.r Chesseldyn Dated y.e 11.th Mar 1712 Maryland fs The Deposition of Richard Marsh of Prince Georges County Aged seventy and Nine Years maketh oath that to the best of his Remembrance Maj.r Thomas Trueman decd did shew this Deponent a bound Tree belonging to the Land he formerly lived on (called Trent Neck) standing near and faceing the River of Putuxent and the back Creeke Near M.r Charles Ashcomes and this Deponent further says that the aforesaid M.r Thomas Trueman deceased (he well remembers) did informe this Depon.t that a Certain Plantation whereon one Cornelius Canaday was then seated was within the bounds of the said Truemans Land and that the said Canaday did leave the said Plantation for that reason and that this Depon.t was afterwards Imployed as a Carpenter to build some houses for the Said Canaday upon the Mannor near Benedict Leonard Towne Ap.ll 9 1713 Jurat Coram Nobis Hen Pereg Jowles (S) Rich.d Marsham Kenelm Cheseldyne (S) Maryland fs Aprill 9.th 1713 The Depositions of Thomas Greenfeild sixty four years Saith that in or about twenty five years past one Cornelius Watkinson a next Neighbour to the Land called Trent neck (who bought his Land of Maj.r Thomas Trueman) did Informe the Depon.t that he was very well Assured that Maj.r Truemans beginning of Trent neck was at a Certain place called Abbington Pen which Place he shewed me and said that he know it would by the Patents Course come to or near to a Certain Point or rather Island at the Mouth of |
