878 of Back Creek and that there would be a Considerable Parcell of Land betwixt Maj.r Truemans Land and the River and further did say that if he could gett a Warrant he would lay it upon that Land and said that he was my very good Friend to advise me whereupon in some short time after I laid a Warrant on the Said Land and had it surveyd by M.r John Leich then Survey.r of Calvert County as may appear on Record And further the Deponent sayth that on the Survey which M.r Leich made (there being only my self & M.r Thomas Taney with him) wee haveing no Chance to Measure) made the survey by paseing And further this Depon.t saith that he very well Remembers the first Course they Runn beginning at or near Abbington Penn said did lead to or near the Point or Island of Backcreeke and further the Depon.t saith that M.r Richard Marsham now liveing has Informed the Depon.t that fifty odd years agon Maj.r Trueman did shew him a bounded Tree at or near the back Creek which is supposed to be washed downe y.e Water there gathering upon the Land as now Evidently appears And further the Depon.t says not Thomas Greenfeild (S) Jurat Coram Nobis Henry Pereg Jowles (S) Kenlm Cheseldyn (S) Maryland fs The Deposition of M.rs Martha Danzey of S.t Marys County Aged forty four years or thereabouts taken upon Oath touching the bounds of Thomas Trueman Greenfeilds Land who declares that some time in the latter part of her former Husband M.r Charles Ashcomes life time she this Depon.t heard some discourse between her Said Husband and the said Greenfield Concering the Infringments of M.r James Keech upon the Said Greenfeild Land and that shee this Deponent heard her husband ask the Said Greenfeild to come downe and Resurvey it for that the Land was the said Greenfeilds and that he the Said Ashcom knew the bounds thereof as well as he knew the bounds of his owne and for that the Said Greenfeild seemed somewhat doubtfull doubtfull of ^what^ the Said Ashcomb said he the Said Ashcom offered to buy his title to the said Land Aprill 8.th 1713 Jurat Coram Nobis (Martha Danzey) Henry Pereg Jowles (S) Kenelm Cheseldyn (S) The Deposition of John Burroughs of S.t Marys County Aged Seventy Years or thereabouts taken upon touching the bounds of Thomas Trueman Greenfeilds Land |
