       and that this Depon.t understood by his said father in Law
       that he ab had bought the said Land of one Rob.t Atchison
       and this Deponent also heard his said father in Law say that
       in paying for his said Land and Clearing himself of his other
       Depts he had not Left himself wherewithall to buy him Cloaths
       and that this Depon.t then supplyed and Lent his said father
       in Law Tobacco for the supplying such his necessitys and further
       saith not

       and said that he had now paid Rob.t Atchison for his Land &

                      By Virtue of a Comission out of Chancery to us Directed bearing
       date the 12.th day of October 1711 To Examine Evidences touching the bounds of
       a parcell of Land called Calf Pasture originally taken up for John Edmondson
       Doe hereby humbly Certify that that this day to wit the seventeenth day of
       October appeared personally before us William Willoughby of Dorchester
       County Bricklayer Aged Eighty Eight Years old or thereabouts and being upon
       the holy Evangelist sworne upon ^his^ oath doth say that about five or
       six and forty years since he the said William Willoughby was hired by
