745 By Virtue of her Majestys Writt to me directed in order there to have somoned Twelve good and Lawfull men of my Bailiwick to meet at the head of North East River the first day of May 1711 which Jurors then and there appeared in prosecution of the Said Writt did Carefully see Twenty Acres of Land surveyed and Laid out for M.r Robert Jones for the building of a Water Mill by M.r John Jawer her Majestys Surveyo.r Viz.t Tenn acres of Land of one side of the Said Run and Tenn on the other side of the said Runn the Jurors being upon their Oaths to Inquire what Damage the said Land will be to the owners and Possessors thereof the said Jurors do find six Acres of the Said Land in the possession of M.r Samuel Vaus to be to the Value of three thousand pounds of Tobacco and the other Fourteen Acres of Land belonging to Col George Talbott to the Value of five hundred pounds of Tobacco Which Jurors have hereunto sett their hands and seales this second day of May 1711 John Ward Sherriff (S) William Veazey foreman (S) William Boulding (S) Thomas Price (S) Francis Smith (S) Edward Jackson (S) Thomas Jonson (S) Edward Veazey (S) William Bristow (S) Henry Gilder (S) Sampson George (S) Isaac Hargrave (S) John Curret (S) S.t Mary's County fs Pursuant to a Writt of Adquoddamnum out of the high Court of Chan.ry Directed to me as Sheriff of S.t Mary's County Commanding that by twelve good and Lawfull men of the said County that you survey and Lay out for Thomas Cooper Jun.r Twenty Acres of Land on the head of S.t Mary's River for Errecting a Water Mill And therefore pursuant to the Said Writt Wee have Surveyed and laid out the said Land as followeth Viz.t Beginning at a bounded white oake standing on the North side of my Lords Mill Runn Fresh by the plantation (of |
