       made a Will and that John Rutter Alice Rutter and John Stephins her then husband
       were Wittnesses thereto and perticularly Remembers it by Reason hee said Master wold
       have given her said husband a peice of Land but his son would not Condecend to't  And
       further saith not

                            Interrogatorys put to M.r Mahitable Peirpont of
                            Ann Arundell County

       Did you ever hear of a Will of Rich.d Beards the Elder that was Recorded in Ann  
       Arundell County Records and afterwards supposed to be Cutt off the Bookes & destroyed
       by his son Richard after Col.o Burgess's Death & what doe you know or have heard
       thereof

                   To this Interrogatory she saith she knew Rich.d Beard
       the Elder and had heard that he made a Will which was Recorded in Ann Arundell
       County Records about 26 years past M.r Henry Bonner then being Clerk in whose
       Absence the said Records were Comitted to the Care of Otho Holland her then husband
       and that in the time of Bonners absence her husband and said Beard was in the office
       best part of a day and when Bonner returned he blamed her husband for suffering
       the said Beard to play the Rogue with the Records (as he termed it In Cutting out
       two Leaves and that he askt by Geo Holland what was contained in them

       Answered the said Beards fathers Will and that she heard it Talk't of Afterward
       And further some time in May was 12 M.o having Discourse will Thomas Crouchley
       concerning it he told her he was present in the office at the time it was done
       And further Saith not

                      In Testimoney whereof and in pursuance of her Ma.tys Commission
                      to us Directed Wee have hereunto affixed our hands & seales as by
                      the same Wee are required This Tenth day of July Ann D, 1710
