(671 4.thly Did you George Green subscribe your name as a Wittness to the Will of Richard Beard the Elders Dated y.e 24.th of July 1675 or were you then on the Western Shoare To this Interrogatory he saith that on Fryday before June Court in the hard Year he was a fraud of M.r being arrested by M.r Henry Stockett then Sherriff of Ann Arundell County who came to the said Beards house whereupon he hid himself in a Chest And this Deponent was Informed the said Stockett sat thereon and that about two or three hours within night he fled to Kent County and did not Returne here till Severall Years after & further saith not 5.th How came you to Leave the Westerne Shoare and when did you leave To this Interrogatory he saith as in the Last and further Saith not 6.thly Were you never an Evidence to any Will of old Richard Beards after you Left Ann Arund.ll County and the Westerne Shoare in the aforesaid Year 1675 and when were you so To this Interrogatory he Saith he never was an Evidence to any will of the said Bread since 1675 nor did he come into Ann Arundell County in severall Years after Interrogatorys put to Walter Phelps of Ann Arundell County Viz.t 1.st Did you know Rich.d Beard the Elder of Ann Arundell County To this Interrogatory he Saith he did and not Further 2.dly Did you know John Roster Eliz.a Carrington and Thomas Pensethwick all or any of them supposed to be Evidences subscribing to the said Richard Beard the Elders Will Dated the 24.th of July 1675 and which of them To this Interrogatory he saith he know one John Rutter but John Roster Eliz.a Carrington he knew not nor Thomas Pensethwick but of any will the said Richard Beard made and further saith not 3.dly Doe you know whether George Green Left these parts before the 25.th of July 1675 or not and on what account To this Interrogatory he saith George Green left these parts before June Court in the hard Year which was the Year before the Susquehannah Warr and the Reason to the best of his Remembrance was that the said Green had purchased a parcell of Land of George Yates then Surveyor of this County of Ann Arundell which he sold to Peter Barnett and past his bond to make't over but for want of a good Title from Yates the said bond was put in suite and further saith not Interrogatorys put to Anne Barley of Ann Arundell County Viz.t Imp.rs Did you know Rich.d Beard the Elder of Ann Arundell County To this Interrogatory she saith she did and served her time with him and further saith not 2.d Did you know any thing of a Will made by Rich.d Beard the Elder after the 24.th day of July 1675 and who were Witness's thereto and when the said Will was made To this Interrogatory she saith that in the fall after the hard Year she came in the Country and about three years after that as she cann remember her said Master made |
