       Samuel Grasty aged about 41 years being Sworn on the Holy Evangelist
       deposeth and Saith

To the first Inter   That he knows the defend.t & further Saith not

To y.e 2.d   That he knows the Ship Rogers & further Saith not

To y.e 3.d   That this Depo.t hath been informed that the s.d Ship Rogers was Condemned
       by a Court of Admirallty and further Saith not

To y.e 4.th    Saith not

To y.e 5.th   That this Depo.t hath been informed that S.r John Rogers of Plymouth in the
       Kingdom of England Merch.t was Sole Owner of the s.d Ship Rogers & a certain Abraham
       Peters Ma.r before Condemnation

To y.e 6.th   That this Depo.t hath been informed by the Defend.t Dansey that he undertook the
       Sale & disposall of the ship after Condemnacon by Order of the Co.rt of Admirallty

To the 7.th  8.th & 9.th Interrogatorys Saith not

To the 10.th   That the s.d Dansey did accept and negotiate the Bills of Exch.a delivered ^to^ him by the
       Agent of S.r John Rogers

To y.e 11.th   That the Defend.t Dansey informed this Depo.t that the Bills of Exch were paid
       by the said S.r John Rogers to the s.d Danseys Order

To y.e 12.th  13.th & 14.th Interrogatorys   Saith not

To y.e 15.th   That this Depo.t hath heard there was Two Ships of Warr in Virginia order'd and
       appointed to Convoy to England all such ships as were loaden and ready to saile
       from Virginia and Maryland

To y.e 16.th Inter   Saith not

To y.e 17.th   That the s.d Peters did repair to the Office of the s.d John Dansey the 20.th of July
       1703 & then & there request the s.d Dansey to Clear the s.d Ship Rogers & further Saith not

To y.e 18.th   That the s.d John Dansey did refuse & deny to Clear the said Ship & further Saith not

To y.e 19.th   That the s.d Dansey refused to Clear the s.d Ship p.rtending he wanted security for the
       Bills of Exch he had rec.d & negotiated a considerable time before in full satisfaction
       for the Ship Rogers after her Condemnacon

To y.e 20.th   That the s.d Ship Rogers was detayned in the Countrey by reason of the s.d Danseys
       refusing to Clear the same

To y.e 21.th   That by reason of the Detencon afd the s.d Ship was very much damnified
       and her bottom Eaten Out by the Worms in so much that she was bottomed out
       the Cost & Charge of the s.d S.r John Rogers

To the Last   Saith not


             John Rogers aged about 22 Years being Sworn on the Holy Evangelist
          deposeth and Saith
