Whether a certain Stephen Harvey or John Rogers or either of them then the Factors & Agents of the said S.r John Rogers did not purchase the s.d ship for the s.d S.r John Rogers with all her Gunns Tackle Apparrell & Furniture for the sum of one hundred Ninety seven pounds nineteen shillings & Eleven pence or what sum Declare what you know relating thereto? 8. Whether the s.d Stephen Harvey or John Rogers or either of them did not draw seperate and distinct Bills of Exch.a upon the s.d S.r John Rogers for the afores.d sum payable to the Severall persons menconed in the s.d Condemnacon or for what sum or to whom payable? 9. Whether the s.d Bills of Exch.a were deliver'd to the same John Danzey in full Satisfaction for the s.d ship Rogers on behalf of y.e s.d S.r Jn.o Rogers? 10. Whether the said John Danzey did not accept and negotiate the said Bills of Exchange? 11. Whether you know heard or have been informed that the s.d Bills of Exchange were accepted and paid by the s.d S.r John Rogers to the said John Danzey or his order or to whose Order? 12. Whether you have heard that the s.d John Danzey some time before & upon his receiving the s.d Bills of Exch.a did promise the s.d Peters Ma.r of the s.d ship to Con.r the same with Tobacco as he the s.d John Danzeys being ^then^ Collector of her Matys Customes of Potomack District? 13. Whether the s.d Abraham Peters Ma.r of the s.d ship Rogers did load the same with three hundred & thirty seven hogsheads of Tobacco by Vertue of the Pmission he had from the af.d Danzey as Collector afd and upon what authority had ^and^ pmisses did he proceed to the loading the said ship. 14. Whether you have heard or been informed that the s.d Peters Ma.r of the af.d ship Rogers after loading the same as af.d did repair to the house of the s.d Danzey Collector as af.d and at what time and how often to Clear the s.d ship Rogers as was thereof in order to joyne the Conroy then ready to saile (viz.t) the Falmouth and York Two of her Matys Ships of Warr? 15. Whether you know have heard believe or have been informed that the Ships of Warr were then in Virginia & appointed to Convey to England all such ships as were loaden and ready to saile in Virginia and Maryland? 16. Whether the said John Danzey upon Application made to him by the said Abraham Peters to Clear the s.d Ship did promise the said that he would Clear the same provided the s.d Peters would meet him at his office then kept at or near Piney Point and whether the s.d Peters did not deliver the s.d Danzey his Clearance from Virginia and the Lord Balltemores Officer at the same Time? 17.
