       Years ago to the best of his Remembrance not Exceeding twenty
       years ago and at the same time Hugh Riley made oath upon the Holy Evangelist
       that the abovemenconed White Oake the 5.th day of May 1688 that
       Jn.o Boyd Sen.r held the aboves.d Hugh Riley & Marine Duvall that the
       aboves.d Tree was the deviding Tree betwixt Marine Duvall dec.d of A A.ll
       County and Gabriel Parrott furthe the Deponant saith not Jn.o Boyd Rob.t
       Anderson Hugh Riley & Marine Duvall  In Wittness thereof we have here

       I John Nunam of Tallbott County Planter aged above fifty Years being
       sworn before Leiu.t Coll.o Thomas Smithson do declare upon my Oath that I did
       mark an Hiccory Tree for the first marked Tree of one Thousand Acres of       
       Land Called the four Square (of w.ch four Square part is now in the Occupation
       of Robert Gouldsborough of Tallbot County Gen.t) in p.rsence of William
       Helmesley the then Surveyor who survey'd the sd Land  And by the speciall
       order and direction of the sd Surveyor  And that an Old fallen Hiccory Tree
       which this Seaventh day of August Anno Dni 1702 I Show'd to the Leiu.t
       Coll.o Thomas Smithson and near to w.ch Hiccory be markt an Oake with
       four Notches one eight over another is the very same Hiccory  In Wittness
       whereof I have hereunto put my hand & seale y.e Day afores.d

       By Vertue of a Comission dated y.e 8.th of May 1702 from the High Court of
       Chancery of this Province at the Petition of a certain Robert Gouldsborough
       directed to me Thomas Smithson of Tallbott County in w.ch s.d Com.n I am nominated &
       appointed Com.r to Examine Wittnesses touching the bounds of a certain Tract of Land
       lying in Tallbott County containing One Thousand Acres called the four Square &c requiring
       me to call and cause to come before me all and singular such Witnesses as
       should to me be produced and diligently to Examin them and every of them the
       said Wittnesses upon their Corporall oath to be by me administred touching
