       Cupp And Afterwards the deft did att the Request of y.e Complt
       Deliver the Candle Cupp back againe & the said Comp.lt did Pay
       unto the said deft att his owne Plantacon Eight hhds of Tobacco
       Containing Neate Three thousand Eight hundred & seaventy pounds of
       Tobacco and also foure hogsheads more att one Peacocks Containing
       Neate Two thousand Twenty Eight Pounds of Tobacco and Three
       hogsheads of Tobacco more att Richard Freemans Waighing Neat
       Twelve hundred sixty and Two pounds of Tobacco and some short time
       afterwards the Comp.lt Came to the deft & acquainted him that his
       Land Whereon hee then Lived had beene Escheated to the R.t hono.ble
       the Lord Prop.ry and hee had purchased the same againe of his Lopp
       for the sume of Eighteene thousand pounds of Tobacco and that there
       was their due to the Lopp the sume of Seaven thousand Nine
       hundred and Fifty Pounds of Tobacco and that hee was afraid his
       Lopp would Not Confirme the sale to him w.thout hee were paid the
       said Tobacco and told the said Deft that hee had noe wayes to
       Rayse the said sume and others That hee stood indebted both to the
       sheriffe for Rent and Leavyes & seav.ll other psons Unless this
       Deft did doe him the Kindnesse to assist him and the s.d Comp.lt
       did Importunately Presse the deft To Lend him the Tobacco & did
       promisse the deft honestly to repay him what hee should disburse and
       Lend him and Pay him any Interest that hee should desire for the
       Loane thereof and make him over his Land for security & Whereas hee
       owes seav.ll psons Tobacco who had sued him hee desired the deft to bee
       Attorney for him to defend him in those accons While hee Could Comply
       w.th them and for that hee had seav.ll sumes of Tobacco due and
       owing to him from seaverall persons W.ch hee Could not get in without
       since hee therefore Desired the deft to bee his Attorney to sue the said psons
       his Debt.rs in ord.r to the Recovery his Just dues soe that thereby hee might
       bee the better Enabled both to Pay the deft what hee already owed him &
       also what hee should owe him then after aswell for what hee should
       Disburse and pay for him as also for his Fees in Mannageing and
       Transacting his businesse as his Attorney in the said Court of Calvert
       County aforesaid  And the Deft haveing had Long acquaintance w.th the
