       Amongst other the schedules to the said Comission annexed the said
       Thomas Taylor Henry Darnall and Thomas Truman Did make returne
       of the defts Answere taken in Writeing and duely sworne to by the said
       Deft before them and of Certaine Interogatoryes to them aswell by
       the Comp.lt as by the deft Exhibitted & the Deposicons of seaverall
       Witnesses taken and sworne before them upon Interogatoryes aforesaid &
       also of theire Report ord.r and finall Judgm.t by them made touching
       the Premisses in Manner and forme hereafter mentioned  the substance
       of the defts Answere being to the Effect Following  That the Deft
       being an Attorney att Lawe in Calvert County Court & haveing been
       Imployed by the Comp.lt in the said Court to bee his Attorney in
       Seaverall accons for w.ch hee stood Indebted to this deft by bill dated
       the fifth day of February one Thousand six hundred Seaventy five the
       Sume of Foure hundred pounds of Tobacco and becomeing also indebted
       to this deft for goods Received of him the sume of Two thousand Eight
       hundred pounds of Tobacco for w.ch the Comp.lt past his bill to the
       Deft the Eighteenth of July 1676 and the deft being Imployed by
       seaverall psons to psecute Seaverall Accons in the County Court
       aforesaid against the Comp.lt To Witt Henry Jowles John Staynes &
       John Hance and the deft Giveing him Notice thereof the Complt
       Earnestly Desired the said Deft to pay the said psons theire debts and
       hee would Repay him the same And the deft haveing a Kindnesse for
       the Comp.lt Did pay to the said Jowles the sume of Foure thousand
       Three hundred seaventy and Foure Pounds of Tobacco To Jn.o Staynes
       Two thousand Six hundred sixty foure Pounds of Tobacco and to John
       Hance Nine hundred and sixty pounds of Tobacco for the Prop debt &
       by the ord.r of the Comp.lt by Reason whereof the Comp.lt stood indebted to
       the deft the sume of Eleaven thousand one hundred ninety and eight Pounds
       of Tobacco in the Whole in part Whereof the Comp.lt had Payd unto the
       said Deft the sume of Two hundred pounds of Tobacco and the defend.t
       desireing satisfaccon or security for the Remaind.r The said Comp.lt the
       Fifth day of August 1676 Comeing to an Account w.th the said deft
