JOINT RESOLUTIONS

RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That in
cooperation with the mass transportation study now being
conducted in the county, the Department of Transportation
and the Mass Transit Administration are requested to conduct
a study of the mass transit needs of Harford County,
including financing of and property acquisition for the
system; and be it further

RESOLVED, That this study be presented to the Harford
County Delegation in the Maryland General Assembly and to
the Harford County Council; and be it further

RESOLVED, That this study be completed by January 15,
1981; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the
Honorable James J. O'Donnell, Secretary, Department of
Transportation, P.O. Box 8755, Baltimore-Washington
International Airport, Baltimore, Maryland 21240; the
Honorable W. J. Addison, Administrator, Mass Transit
Administration, 109 E. Redwood Street, Baltimore, Maryland
21202; the Harford County Council, 45 South Main Street, Bel
Air, Maryland 21014; and the Honorable J. Thomas Barranger,
County Executive, 45 South Main Street, Bel Air, Maryland
21014.

A House Joint Resolution concerning

National Long-Range Weatherization Program

FOR the purpose of requesting the President and Congress of
the United States to establish a certain long-range
weatherization program for every residence in the
United States by a certain date.

WHEREAS, The United States is getting into an ever
worsening energy crisis; and

WHEREAS, A large portion of residences in the United
States use fuel oil or natural gas for heating purposes; and

WHEREAS, Most of this fuel oil and natural gas is
imported from politically unstable nations; and

WHEREAS, This political instability creates an unstable
source of energy; and
