[(8)] (9) The special deputies described in
paragraphs [(6)] (7) and [(7)] (8) shall not be considered
employees of Cecil County as special deputies. All other
employees covered by this section are declared to be
employees of Cecil County for purposes of employment
security. ALL SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL SHALL RECEIVE
ALL OTHER BENEFITS OF OTHER COUNTY EMPLOYEES AND ARE TO BE
DECLARED EMPLOYEES OF THE COUNTY AT THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF
THIS LEGISLATION.

(10) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CECIL COUNTY
SHALL FURNISH THE SHERIFF AND FULL-TIME DEPUTY SHERIFFS
DESCRIBED IN PARAGRAPH (1) WITH INDIVIDUAL HEALTH INSURANCE
COVERAGE, AS APPROPRIATE, UNDER A HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN OR
PROGRAM TO BE SELECTED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
