MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                                 251
GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE: In revising this title, the Commission to Revise the
Annotated Code deleted as obsolete or otherwise
unnecessary the following related provisions, in addition
to those noted in the revisor's note to §5—101 and other
sections of this title: (1)    Art. 41, §207B(b) and (e). These
provisions abolished the former State Aviation Commission
and office of Director of Aeronautics and transferred all
their powers, duties, and employees to the
Administration. That transfer took effect as of July 1,
1971, and the underlying statutory provisions no longer
are necessary. In this regard, see, also §5-216 of this
title. (2)    Art. 1A, §5-505. This section, which
provides that money received by the Administration be
paid to the Transportation Trust Fund, is unnecessary in
light of the like provisions contained in §3—216 of this
article. (3)    Art. 1A, §6-605. This section, which
provides for compliance with the workmen's Compensation
Law, is deleted here in light of new §1—102 of this
article. (4)   Art. 1A, §§8-801(h) (first sentence) and
8—802(j). These provisions, which provide for the
severability of the provisions of present Art. 1A, §§
8—801 and 8—802, are unnecessary in light of Art. 1, §23
of the Code. (5)   Art. 1A, §8-803 (a). This section, which
defines "noise zone", "impacted land use area", and
"political subdivision" for purposes of present
§8-803—-now Subtitle 8, Part III, of this title—-is
deleted as redundant or otherwise unnecessary; see
§§5-101 and 5-801 of this title and their revisor's
notes. (6)   Art. 1A, §9—901. This section, which
related to the purpose of present Art.    1A, Title 9, and
the then proposed transfer of Friendship   Airport to the
State, is deleted as obsolete. (7)    Art. 62C, §3(h). This section, which
relates to the abolished "Friendship International
Airport Authority",. inadvertently was enacted and
codified, although its provisions are obsolete. In this
regard, see Ch. 180, Acts of 197 2, which repealed Art.
62, §§1 to 20, 22, 23, 23A, 24, and 25. For provisions relating to the Potomac Highland
Airport Authority, see Title 10, Subtitle 1 of this
article.
