       of Assembly in that Case made and Provided  And at the same time came
       Susannah Kirbey Wife of the said James Kirbey and freely Acknowledged
       out of the hearing of her said Husband that she gave up her Right of
       Dowre of the within land and Premises without the fear Threats or displeasure
       of her said Husband

                This Indenture made this seventeenth day of December in
       the year of Our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Eighty four  Between
       Margaret Cumming of Ann Arundel County State of Maryland (Farmer)
       of the one part and James Kirbey of Ann Arundel County and State of
       Maryland (Farmer) of the other Part  Witnesseth that the said Margaret
       Cumming for and in Consideration of the sum of Fifty Pounds Current
       money of Maryland to her in hand paid by the said James Kirby before
       the Ensealing and delivery of these Presents (the receipt whereof she
       doth hereby Acknowledge and discharge the said James Kirbey him
       his Heirs and Assigns and every of them by these Presents) hath
       given Granted Bargained Sold aliened enfeoffed and Confirmed by
       these Presents Doth fully Clearly and Absolutely Give Grant bargain
       sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said James Kirby his Heirs and
       Assigns forever Ten Acres of Land being part of a Tract or Parcel of Land
       called Howard Chance lying and being in the County aforesaid Beginning
       at the distance of Eighty Perches in the South twenty nine Degrees East
       one hundred and forty five perch Course of the said Howards Chance and
       runing thence North Twenty five Degrees thirty Minutes East seventy
       Perches then North twenty Six Degrees East Ten Perches to the North
       twenty six Degrees west one hundred and twenty Perch Course of the
       said Howards Chance Then with the said Howards Chance North
       Twenty Six Degrees West nine Perches to the Twelfth Course of the Land
       called Mackinzies Discovery then with that Course on Reverse South
