       This Indenture made the second Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven
       hundred and Eighty four  Between Charles Stewart and William Stewart Sons of Doctor George
       Stewart late of the City of Annapolis of the one Part and Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer of the said
       City of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Charles Stewart and William Stewart for and in Consideration
       of ^the Sum of^ fifteen Hundred Pounds sterling to them in Hand Paid ^or secured to be paid^ the receipt and payment whereof the said
       Charles Stewart and William Stewart do hereby acknowledge & Confess and the said Daniel of S.t Tho.s Jenifer
       from every Part and Parcell thereof do acquit and discharge have given granted Bargained Sold Aliened
       enfeof'd and Confirmed and by these Presents do give grant bargain sell Alien enfeof and Confirm
       to the said Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that Lot of Parcell of Ground
       lying in the City of Annapolis bounded by Tarbernacle Street Lawers Street the Stadt House Circle
       School Street and the Church Circle Marked on the Plat & Commonly known by the Lot Number
       seventy four with all and singular the Houses & Appurtenances thereunto belonging or any wise appurtaining
       To have and to hold the said Lot of Land and Premisses with all and singular the
       Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer his Heirs and
       Assigns for ever to the only Proper use and Behoof of him the said Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer
       his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to no other use Intent or Purpose whatsoever and the said Charles
       Stewart and William Stewart for themselves their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns  Do
       Covenant and agree to and with the said Daniel of Saint Thomas Jenifer the Lot of Land and the
       Premises aforesaid  With the Appurtenances hereby Granted and sold unto him the said Daniel of Saint
       Thomas Jenifer his Heirs and Assigns for ever against ^them^ the said Charles Stewart and William
       Stewart their Heirs and Assigns and against all Persons whatsoever Claiming or to Claim shall
       and will Warrant and for ever Defend  In Witness Whereof the Parties aforesaid have hereunto
       set their Hands and seals the day and year above Written

       On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endrsed (Viz.t)

       Maryland  On the second day of Oct 1784 Came before me the subscriber on of the Judges of the General
       Court Charles Stewart & William Stewart Parties to the Within Deed and acknowledged the same to be
       their Act and Deed and the Lot and Premisses within Mentioned with the Appurtenances to be the
       right Title Interest and Estate of the said Daniel of Saint Tho.s Jenifer his Heirs and Assigns for ever
       At the same time came Elizabeth the Wife of the Within named Charles Stewart and relinquished
       her right of Dower to the Lot of Land within Mentioned She being examined apart ^from^ and out of
       the hearing of her said husband declared that she relinquished the same voluntarily and freely without
5¼  being indersed thereto by ill usage of her said Husband threat or fear of his Displeasure
       Recorded the 2.d October 1784
