                                     on the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed
       to wit, Received the Day of the Date of the within written Indenture of
       the within named Daniel Dulany and Lloyd Dulany the sum of                  £  s  d

             Be it remembered that the within named Richard Lee came before
       me one of his Lordships the Lord Proprietary's Justices of the Provincial
       Court and acknowledged the within Deed to be his Act and the lands
       and Premises with their Appurtenances therein mentioned to be the Estate
       of the within named Daniel Dulany and lloyd Dulany for the uses
       Intents and Purposes within mentioned Taken and certified according
       to Act of Assembly this 5.th Day of October in the Year of our Lord
       one thousand seven hundred and seventy

       This Indenture made this fifth Day of October in the year of our Lord
       one thousand seven hundred and Seventy Between Richard Lee of Charles
       County Esquire on the one part and Daniel Dulany and Lloyd Dulany of the
       City of Annapolis Esquires on the other part  Whereas it hath been
       agreed by and between the said Richard Lee and Philip Thomas Lee
       eldest son and Heir apparent of the said Richard Lee and the said Philip
       Thomas Lee having intermarred with Anne one of the Daughters of
       James Russell of London Merchant) for divers good Causes and Considerations
       that the said Richard Lee should convey to the use of the said Philip
       Thomas Lee and his Heirs all that Tract or Parcel of Land lying in
       Frederick County called Dan containing by Estimation five hundred
       acres be the same more or less with all and singular the appurtenances
       thereunto belonging to take Effect in Possession immediately upon the
       Execution of such Conveyance and also to Convey the several other Tracts
