       for the uses set forth and expressed in the same Deed now remaining of record in
       Frederick County Land Records reference being thereunto had may appear  And whereas
       the said Thomas Buchanan pursuant to the directions of the same Deed after having given
       convenient and public Notice in the Maryland Gazette did set up and expose to Sale to
       the highest bidder at Publick Vendue the said Land called Dinah's Fancy at which Sale
       the said Hugh Scott being the highest bidder did purchase the same at and for the Sum of
       one hundred and thirty five pounds current Money rating Dollars at seven Shillings and
       six pence each  Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Thomas Buchanan for
       and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred and thirty five pounds current money aforesaid
       to him in hand paid by the said Hugh Scot at and before the sealing and delivery
       hereof the Receipt whereof the said Thomas Buchanan doth hereby acknowledge hath
       granted bargained sold aliened transfer'd and set over and by these presents doth grant
       bargain sell alien transfer and set over and by these presents doth grant
       all the aforesaid Tract or parcel of Land called Dinah's Fancy lying and being in
       Frederick County aforesaid containing by Patent two hundred and fifteen Acres  To
       have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with the premisses and
       appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Hugh Scot his Heirs and Assigns
       to his and their only proper use and behoof and to and for no other use intent or
       purpose whatsoever  In witness whereof the said Thomas Buchanan hath hereunto
       set his Hand and affixed his Seal the Day and Year first above written

                                        On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit

       On the seventeenth day of June seventeen hundred and seventy four received of and from the within
       named Hugh Scott the Sum of One hundred and thirty five pounds Current money being the
       Consideration within mentioned              p me                     Tho Buchanan

       On the seventeenth day of June seventeen hundred and seventy four came Thomas Buchanan
       before me one of the Justices of the Provincial Court and acknowledged the within Instrument
       of writing to be his Act and Deed agreeable to the true Intent and meaning thereof and the
       form of the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and provided

       the Alienation fine Due to the Lord Proprietary on the within land by Virtue of a Commission
       from Dan.l of S.t Thomas Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General

       This Indenture Tripartite made the seventeenth Day of March in the year of
       our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three Between Sarah Hopkins of
       Baltimore County widow of the first part Garrard Hopkins of ^the same^ Baltimore County Cabinet
       maker of the second part and Robert Alexander of Baltimore County Gentleman of the third
       part  Witnesseth that the same Sarah Hopkins for and in Consideration of the Sum of
       five shillings Sterling to her in hand paid by the said Gerrard Hopkins at or before the
       sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receit whereof is hereby acknowledged and for the
