691 Promise Grant and agree to and with the said Sarah Elson her heirs and Assigns that that he the said Samuel Beall jun.r and his Heirs shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter upon the reasonable request and at the proper Cost and Charges of her the said Sarah Elson her heirs or assigns make do acknowledge suffer & Execute any further Deed or Instrument ^in^ of Writing such as she the said Sarah Elson her Heirs or Assigns her or their Council Learned in the Law shall Reasonably devise advise or require for the further Assurance Surety and sure making the Land ^and^ Premisses aforesaid with the Appurtenances unto the said Sarah Elson his heirs and Assigns for ever According to the True intent and meaning of these presents In Witness whereof the party to these presents hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year first above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered Samuel Beall Jun.r (LS) in the presence of us John Stull Tho.s Prather On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed to wit Received on the Day and year within Written of and from the within named Sarah Elson the Sum of One hundred and forty pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain it being the Consideration Money within mentioned I say received p.r me Witness John Stull Sam.l Beall jun.r Thomas Prather Frederick County fs.t May Twenty fourth 1774 Came Samuel Beall jun.r before us the Subscribers two of the Right Honourable the lord Proprietarys Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid & Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and premisses therein mentioned with the Appurtenances to be the Right and Estate of the within Sarah Elson her heirs and Assigns for ever At the same time Came Eleanor wife of the said Samuel Beall Junior and being by us privately Examined apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband Acknowledged and Relinquished all her right and Title of Dower of in and to the said Land and Premisses and every part and parcel thereof with the Appertenacnes to her the said Sarah Elson her heirs and assigns and declared she made such Acknowledgment and Relinquishment willingly and freely without being induced thereto by fear or threats of ill usage by her said Husband or fear of his displeasure according to the Act of Assembly in such cases made and provided John Stull 9 Sides Tho.s Prather Received of M.rs Sarah Elson the Sum of Five shillings & six pence Sterling being the Alienation fine on the within Land Due to the Lord Proprietory by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General J Brice Clk Recorded June y.e 16.th 1774 Ex.d This Indenture made the seventeenth day of June seventeen hundred and seventy four between Thomas Buchanan of Prince Georges County of the one part and Hugh Scot Esquire of Frederick County of the other part Whereas John Wilmot of Ann Arundel County Planter by a certain deed of Bargain and Sale bearing Date the ninth day of August seventeen hundred and seventy one did make over and convey all that Tract or Parcel of Land call'd Dinah's Fancy lying in Frederick County to the said Thomas Buchanan in trust for |
