683 their Heirs Executors and Administrators the parcel of Ground aforesaid and premisses and Appurtenances to the said John Howard and Joseph Selby their Heirs and Assigns from and against the said Allen Quynn his Heirs and Assigns and from all Persons claiming from by or under them or any of them will well and truly warrant and for ever defend In Witness whereof the parties to these these presents have hereunto set their Hands and affixed their Seals the Day above mentioned Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of Allen Quynn (LS) Tho Price Rob.t Reynolds On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received on the Day and year first within written of and from the within named John Howard Joseph Selby the Sum of One hundred and twenty Pounds ten shillings Sterling it being the Consideration within mentioned to be by them paid to me I say received by me Test Allen Quynn Tho Price Rob.t Reynolds On the 20.th Day of May 1774 came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within named Allen Quynn and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned with the Appurtenances to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Howard & Joseph Selby their Heirs and Assigns for ever 5½ Sides Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Recorded May the 20.th 1774 Ex.d This Indenture made this twentieth Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy four Between Richard Beard of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part and Thomas Harwood jun.r of the City of Annapolis in the County and Province aforesaid Merchant of the other part witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of five shillings Sterling Money of great Britain in hand paid unto the said Richard Beard before the Ensealing and delivery hereof by the said Thomas Harwood jun.r the receipt whereof he the said Richard Beard doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part thereof do Acquit Exonerate and discharge the said Thomas Harwood jun.r his Heirs and Assigns and every of them for Ever Hath given granted bargained sold Assigns Aliened Enfeoffed Released Confirmed and made Over and by these Presents do give grant bargain Sell Assign Alien Enfeoff Release confirm and make over unto the said Thomas Harwood jun.r his Heirs and Assigns for Ever All that part or moiety of a Tract or parcel of Land called West Puddington lying in the County aforesaid and on the west side of the South River Begining at the mouth of a Branch runing into Beards Creek twenty four perches from the second bounded Tree of the said Land called West Puddington the first Course of the said Land being reversed from the said second Bounded Tree to the mouth of the said Branch and runing thence with the said Branch the following Courses Viz.t North eighty one degrees West nine perches thence North sixty six Degrees and a half west six perches thence North seventy three Degrees and a Quarter West thirty three perches thence North eight five three degrees and a half West seven Perches and a half thence South sixty nine Degrees and three quarters West seven and a half Perches thence North fifty two Degrees and three quarters West eighteen Perches thence South eighty five Degrees West thirteen perches thence North forty six Degrees and a half West twelve Perches thence South forty two Degrees and a half West six Perches thence North Sixty nine Degrees and a quarter west six perches thence North twenty nine Degrees and a half west nineteen perches thence South eighty six Degrees and a half West fourteen perches thence South seventy nine |
