682 On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed (Viz.t) May the 9.th 1774 Then recd of John Lawrence five Shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned Ely Dorsey John Burgess H Ridgely Ann Arundel County May the 9.th 1774 Then came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace of the County aforesaid Ely Dorsey sen.r and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land ^and^ Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named John Lawrence his Heirs and Assigns forever 5 Sides John Burgess Recorded May 14.th 1774 H Ridgely Ex.d This Indenture made the twentieth Day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy four Between Allen Quynn of the City of Annapolis of the one Part and John Howard and Joseph Selby of the same Place of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Allen Quynn for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred and twelve Pounds ten Shillings Sterling to him in Hand paid by the said John Howard and Joseph Selby at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and from every part and parcel thereof Doth fully clearly and absolutely exonerate acquit and discharge them the said John Howard and Joseph Selby their Heirs and Assigns for ever hath Granted Bargained and sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said John Howard and Joseph Selby their Heirs and Assigns for ever part of a Lott of Land lying or adjoining or near to the City of Annapolis which he the said Allen Quynn purchased of a certain Robert Swan and which is commonly called by the name of Swan's Tanyard Begining at the Southermost Boundary of the said Land and runing North thirty five Degrees fifteen minutes East forty seven feet thence North sixty five degrees west thirty five feet six inches thence North fifteen Degrees thirty minutes west forty seven feet thence North thirty five Degrees west seventy three feet thence South forty Degrees West one hundred and fifteen feet six inches thence with a streight line to the Begining together with the Houses Buildings and Improvements thereon being and the Appurtenances thereto belonging To have and to hold the aforesaid Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances thereto belonging to them the said John Howard & Joseph Selby their Heirs and Assigns for Ever to the only proper Use and Behoof of them the said John Howard and Joseph Selby their Heirs and Assigns for Ever And the aforesaid Allen Quynn for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth further Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said John Howard and Joseph Selby their |
