       Murdock his Heirs Executors & Administrators  He teh said John Cowman Hath bargained
       and sold aliened conveyed and conirmed and by these Presents Doth for himself and his
       Heirs bargain and sell alien convey and confirm unto him teh said William Murdock
       his Heirs and Assigns all his (the said John Cowmans) Right Title claim and
       Interest of in to a Part or Parcell of a Tract of Land lying in Frederick County aforesaid
       called Catch as Catch Can he that gets the Land is the best Man containing Three hundred
       and forty Acres aforesaid together with all and every the Appurtenacnes and Improvements
       thereunto in any Wise belonging  To have adn to hold the said Part or Pracell of
       a Tract of land herein before described with all and every its Appurtenances unto
       him the said William Murdock his Heirs and Assigns and to and for no other Use
       Intent or Purpose whatosever and teh said John Cowman covenants for himself his
       Heirs Executors and Administrators that he the said John Cowman and his Heirs shall
       and will warrant and for ever defend teh said Parcell of Land with its Appurtenances
       so sold as aforesaid from and against him teh said John Cowman and his Heirs and all
       Persons claiming by from or uinder him teh said John Cowman and his Heirs unto him the
       said William Murdock his Heirs and Assigns by these Presents  And Lastly the said
       John Cowman covenants for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators that he
       the said John Cowman his Heirs Executors or Administrators shall and will at the reasonable
       Request of him teh said William Murdock his Heirs or Assigns or his or their Attorney
       learned in the Law make and execute any other good and sufficient Deed of Conveyance
       for the better assuring and conveying the said Parcell of Land sold as aforesaid with
       its Appurtenances unto him the siad William Murdock his Heirs and Assigns such
       Conveyance comprehending above Covenants and Warranty  In Witness whereof
       the siad John Cowman hath hereunto set his Hand and affixed his Seal the Day and
       Year first above written
          Signed Sealed and Delivered                                       John Cowman   (LS)
          in the Presence of
          Rich.d Harwood Sem.r
          T Watkins J.r

             On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus indorsed (Viz.t)

       Received the Day and year first within written of and from the within named
       William Murdock the Sum of two hundred and forty two Pounds Ten Shillings Currency
       being the Consideration Money within mentioned to be paid to me      £242  10
