       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t

       The fifth Day of October One thousand seven hundred and seventy three then cam before me one of the
       Lord Proprietarys Justices of the Provincial ^Court^ the within named Charles Carroll Esquire and
       acknowledged the within Deed according to the Act of Assembly in such case made and Provided

       Received the fifth Day of October one thousand seven hundred and seventy three of the within named
       Nicholas Sewall Esq.r the Sum of five shillings Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned

               This Indenture made this seventh Day of May in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred
       and seventy three  Between Edward Burgess of ^Frederick^ County Gentleman and Mary his wife (late Mary Davis)
       of the one Part and Sarah Davis of Ann Arundel County Spinster of the other Part  Whereas a certain Richard
       Snowden of Ann Arundel County Iron Master by Deed of bargain and Sale bearing Date on or about
       the third Day of February in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred ^and^ forty nine did for and in consideration
       of the Sum of one hundred and Eleven Pounds Sterling Money give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff
       and confirm to the said Mary Davis (now Mary Burges wife to the af.d Edward Burgess) and Sarah
       Davis her Sister their Heirs and Assigns fro ever all that Peace or Parcel of Land being Part of a Tract of
       Land called Snowdens second Addition to his Mannor containing five hundred and fifty five Acres  
       which Deed is recorded in Liber E I N.o 12 folios 41 & 42 one of the Provincial Court Land Record Books
       reference being there^un^to had may more fully and at large appear and Whereas the af.d Edward
       Burgess and Mary his wife and Sarah Davis have come to ^a^ mutual Agreement to and with each other
       to divide the said Peace or Parcel of Land conveyed as af.d by the said Richard Snowden to the the said Mary Davis
       (now Mary Burgess) and Sarah Davis according to the second Courses and Distances Metes and
       Boundaries herein after mentioned and to give each to the other mutual Releases  Now this Indenture
       Witnesseth that the said Edward Burgess and Mary his wife for and in Consideration of the Premisses
       and of five Shillings Sterling Money to them in Hand paid by the said Sarah Davis at or before
       the ensealing and delivery of these Presents the Receit whereof they do hereby acknowledge and therefrom
       acquit and ^discharge^ the said Sarah Davis her Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs and Assigns and every of them by these
       Presents Have granted bargained sold aliened remised released confirmed and for ever quit claimed
       and by these Presents do grant bargain and sell alien remise release confirm and for ever quit Claim
       to her the said Sarah ^Davis^ her Heirs and Assigns the following   Peace Part or Parcel of Land being Part of
       Part of a Tract of Land called Snowdens second Addition to his Mannor Beginning for the said Part
       (belonging to Sarah Davis) at the beginning Tree mentioned in the Deed above recited from Richard
       Snowden to Mary Davis (now Mary Burgess) ^and^ Sarah Davis it being a black oak sapling standing
       on the North Side of an Hill and in a Line of a Tract of Land called Addition to Charley Forrest running
       thence with the said Land called Addition to Charley Forrest South fifteen Degrees East
       two hundred and twenty Perches South thirty Degrees west thirty Perches to the beginning of the af.d
       Mary Burgess's Part then running with the given line reversed of the said Edward Burgess and
       Mary his wife's Part across the Land af.d conveyed by Richard Snowden as af.d South sixty Degrees
       and an half Degree East one hundred and forty Perches to the End of Forty Perches on the eighth Line
       of the said Land conveyed by Richard Snowden as af.d and the End of the last Line of the Part
       belonging to Edward Burgess and Mary his wife then forty two Degrees East one hundred
