496 seized of an Estate of Inheritance therein Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Rachel Lyde Goodwin for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings sterling money to her by the above named Charles Ridgely son of John in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted bargained and Sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto him the said Charles Ridgely All that piece or parcel of Land being part of the Tract of Land above mentioned called Timber Neck Together with All Houses Buildings and other Improvements thereon erected Rights Priviledges and Advantages and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents and Services thereof and also all the Estate Right Title interest property Claim and demand whatsoever of her the said Rachel Goodwin of in and to the said piece or parcel of Land above granted and of in and to every part and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances To Have and To Hold the said Land and premisses and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto him the said Charles Ridgely and his Heirs to the only proper use and Behoof of him the said Charles Ridgely his Heirs and Assigns for ever And the said Rachel Lyde Goodwin the above Granted Land and premisses to him the said Charles Ridgely and his Assigns shall and will warrant and for ever defend against all and every person and persons claiming any thing therein by from or under her her Heirs or Assigns or any of them In Witness Whereof she hath hereto set her hand and affixd her seal the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered the words called Timber Neck being first Rachel Lyde Goodwin (seal) interlind In presence of And Buchanan W.m Buchanan On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received April y.e 27.th 1773 of the within named Charles Ridgely the sum of five shillings Sterling being the Consideration of executing the within Deed Witness And Buchanan Rachel Lyde Goodwin W.m Buchanan Balt.r Cot.y fs.t Be it remembered that on the twenty seventh day of April 1773 Came the within named Rachel Lyde Goodwin before us the Subscribers two of his Lordship the Lord proprietary his Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be her Act and Deed and the Land and premisses therein granted to be the right and Estate of the within named Charles Ridgely his Heirs and Assigns for ever And Buchanan W.m Buchanan 7 Sides Recorded the 29.th Day of April 1773 |
