497 Maryland fs.t X.d The Right Honourable Henry Harford Esquire Absolute Lord and proprietary of the province of Maryland To the Honourable Daniel Dulany of the City of Annapolis Esq.r Greeting Rob.t Eden We reposing Especial Trust and Confidence in the Integrity Care and Circumspections of you the said Daniel Dulany do (by virtue of the powers given in the Letters patent from King Charles the first to Cæcelius Baron of Baltimore his Heirs and Assigns of the said province of Maryland) by these presents Constitute and appoint you the said Daniel Dulany Secretary of the said province of Maryland with full powers and Authority to you the said Daniel Dulany to Execute the said Office of Secretary and to do and perform all other Acts usually done by the former Secretaries of the province aforesaid And We do hereby further impower you the said Daniel Dulany to receive all perquisites Fees and Advantages whatsoever to the said Office of Secretary belonging or in anywise appertaining in as full and ample manner as any person or persons heretofore have held or enjoyed or ought to have hold and enjoy the same To have and to hold exercise and enjoy the said Office and to take and receive all such Fees perquisites and advantages as aforesaid unto you the said Daniel Dulany during our Will and pleasure And We do hereby Repeal and make Void and Null all former Commissions for the said office Witness Our Trusty and well beloved Robert Eden Esq.r Lieutenant General and Chief Governor in and over our said Province this 29.th day of April in the second year of our Dominion Anno Domini 1773 Signed by Order (LS) 2½ sides U Scott Recorded the 29.th of April 1773 X.d Maryland fs.t Know all men by these Presents That we Daniel Dulany Daniel Wolstenholme and Lloyd Dulany Esquires are held and firmly Bound unto the Right honourable the Lord proprietary of this Province of Maryland in the full and just sum of one Thousand Pounds Current Money to be paid to the said Right Honourable the Lord proprietary and his successors to which Payment well and truly to be made we and every of us hereby Bind ourselves and every of us our and every of our Heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and severally firmly by these Presents Sealed with our seals and dated this twenty ninth day of April Anno Domini 1773 The Condition of the above Obligation is such That if the above Bounden Daniel Dulany whilst he shall continue in the Office of Secretary of Maryland shall at his |
