(410) Re.d Sep.t 21.st 1772 of Edward Dorsey son of John two hundred and fifty pounds Current money Being the Consideration Money mentioned in the s.d Indenture his Benoni Belt Christopher C Sewill Mark On the 21.st day of September 1772 Came Before us two of his Lordships Justices for Baltimore County the within Named Christopher Sewill and Acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Provinces therein Mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Edward Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever According to the true Intent and meaning thereof And at the same time Came Mary Sewill the wife of the afores.d Christopher Sewill who being privately Examined out of the hearing of Husband Acknowledged the within Instrument as her Act and Deed And that she did the same freely & Voluntaryly without any threats or fear of Husband displeasure gave her free Consent in Barr of her Dower taken and Acknowledged Before us the Day and Year above written John Moale 8½ Sides And Buchanan Recorded October the 19.th 1773 x.d This Indenture maid this Twenty first Day of August in the Year of our Lord seventeen Hundred and seventy two Between Francis Davis of Baltimore County Planter of the one part and Edward Dorsey of Ann County Gent.n of the other part Witnesseth That the sa.d Francis Davis for and in consideration of the sum of five Shillings Currency To him in hand well and truly paid by sa.d ^Edward Dorsey at and upon the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents whereof the s.d^ Francis Doth hereby acknowledge and Thairwith Confess him Self to be fully Content and Satisfyed he the sa.d Francis hath granted Bargained and sold Conveyed and Confirm'd and Doth hereby Grant bargain and sell Convey and Confirm unto the sa.d Edward Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever the following parcel of Land being part of a Tract of Land Colled the Vallue of Strife beloning unto sa.d Francis Lying in Fadrick Contey begining at the End of the Twenty fifth Course of the hole survey Caulled the Vally of Strife and Runing thence with the Original Survey the Two following Courses Viz North Twenty five Deg.s west fourty six perches North fiftey two Deg.s west one hundred and Twenty P Then North seventy four Deg.s East One hundred and Eightey Perches to the End of the thirty fifth Course of the Original tract then with the Original Tract South thirty Deg.s East sixty perches still with the Original Tract South Seventy two Deg.s East Teen Perches then with a Straight Line to the Begining Containing and Laid out for one hundred Acres of Land more or less Togither with all and Singular the Land and Premisses with the Appurtinances and Improvements &c of every kind unto the same and any part thereof In any wise belonging allso all the Right Title Interest Property Possession Claim and Demand what Ever of him the sa.d Francis Davis and the sa.d Francis Doth hereby for himself and his Heirs Covenant and agree to and with the said Edward Dorsey and his Heirs That the sa.d Francis doth quit all Right Title Intrust Claim and Demand what ever In Witness whereof the said Francis Davis hath hereunto sett hand and Seal the day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered F.s Davis (Seal) In the Presence of Jos Wood Charles Jones The aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Recd this 21.st day of August 1772 of said Edward Dorsey son Jn.o the sum of five shillings Currency being the within Consideration Test Jos Wood F.s Davis Charles Jones August 21.st 1772 Then came Francis Davis party to the within Deed befour us two of his Lordships Justices of Fedrick County Court and Acknowlided the same to be his Act and Deed and the parcel of Land and Premises with Appirtinances Thairof within mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within named Edward Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for Ever According to the true Intent and Meaning of the within Deed and the Act of Assembly in such cases maid and provided Acknowledged before Jos Wood 5 Sides Charles Jones Recorded October the 19.th 1773 |
