385 the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein specified to be the Right and Estate of the within named Edward Hall Son of Henry according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof and at the same Time Ann the Wife of the said Thomas Rutland being by us privately examined apart from and out of the Hearing of her said Husband and did repeat as above said and also declared that she hereby released any Right or Title of Dower she might have in the said Land and that she made the same Acknowledgment of her own free Will and Accord without being induced thereto by Threats or Fear of the Displeasure of her said Husband agreable to the Act of Assembly in such Case late made and provided W.m Steuart 8½ sides Rob.t Couden Recorded the 29.th Day of September 1772 Ex.d This Indenture made the twenty sixth Day of September in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and Seventy two Between Robert Estham of Ann Arundel County Gentleman and Ann his Wife of the one part and Edward Hall Son of Henry of Prince Georges County of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Robert Estham and and Ann his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of two hundred and thirty nine pounds fourteen Shillings Sterling Money to them in Hand paid at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt and Payment whereof the same Robert Estham and Ann his Wife do hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and of and from every part and parcell do acquit release exonerate and discharge the said Edward Hall his Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them by these Presents Have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, enfeoff and confirm unto the same Edward Hall Son of Henry his Heirs and Assigns all that Part of a Tract of Land lying and being in Ann Arundel County called Arnold Gray which is comprehended under the following Metes and Bounds that is to say Beginning at the End of one hundred and thirty perches on the South forty one Degrees West Line of the Survey and running thence East Seventy perches South forty eight Degrees East one hundred and ten perches South twenty eight Degrees West forty perches South eighty nine Degrees West one hundred and eighty eight perches to the North West Line of the original then North fifty one and a half Degrees West twenty nine perches to the bounded Gum in the Branch thence with a streight Line to the Beginning containing one hundred and twelve Acres of Land more or less together with all and singular the Houses Edifices Buildings and Improements and every other Advantage to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining to the same and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every part and parcell thereof and also all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Use, Trust, Property, Claim and Demand whatsoever of them the said Robert Estham and Ann his Wife of into or out of the aforesaid (Land) |
