       This Indenture made this twenty third Day of April Seventeen hundred and seventy one Between
6 sides   Thomas Bedingfield Hands and John Hicks of Kent County in the Province of Maryland
       of the one Part and Philip Drugan of the same County of the other Part Witnesseth whereas at a provincial
       Court held at the City of Annapolis the second Tuesday of this present Instant April the afd
       Thomas Bedingfield        by a Writ of Entry Sur Disseisin en le post did demand against the afd Philip
       all that Tract of plantable Land called Camble's Farm situate in the County afd containing one hundred
       and fifty two Acres more or less together with the Appurtanances as his Right and Inheritance and into
       which the said Philip had not entry but after a Disseisin which Hugh Hunt thereof unjustly and without
       Judgment made to the afd Thomas Bedingfield within thirty Years then last past upon which said Writ the
       afd Philip did appear at the same Court in his proper Person and did vouch to Warranty the afd John
       Hicks who also appeared at the same Court in his proper Person and entered into Warranty of the same and
       afterwards did vouch to Warranty the common Vouchee who also appeared at the same Court and entered into Warranty
       of the same Lands and afterwards made Default whereby a good and perfect common Recovery of the
       Land and Premisses afd was had and perfected as by the Record and Process thereof in the same Provincial
       Court remaining fully appeareth  Now this Indenture witnesseth and it is covenanted granted
       and agreed upon by and between all and every of the Parties afd and the aforesaid Thomas Bedingfield and
       John Hicks for themselves their Heirs Executors and Administrators for and in Consideration of the sum
       of five Shillings Sterling Money to them in Hand paid by the said Philip Drugan at or before the Sealing
       and Delivery of these Presents do hereby covenant grant and agree to and with the said Philip Drugan
       his Heirs and Assigns by these Presents and do hereby signify and declare that the Recovery afd of the Lands
       and Premisses afd and the Execution thereof shall be and enure and shall ever hereafter be construed
       esteemed and adjudged and taken to be and enure and by all the Parties to the said Recovery at the Time
       of suffering the recovery afd was intended and declared to be and enure to the only proper Use and Behoof
       of the said Philip Drugan his Heirs and Assigns and to no other Use, Intent, or Purpose whatsoever  To have
       and to hold the same Land and Premisses to the said Philip Drugan his Heirs and Assigns forever to the
       only proper Use and Behooff of him the said Philip his Heirs and Assigns forever  In Witness whereof
       the Parties ^to these Presents^ have hereunto set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year above mentioned
       signed sealed and delivered

       Justices of the provincial Court the within mentioned Thomas Bedingfield Hands and John Hicks
       and acknowledged severally the within Instrument of Writing to be their several Act and Deed and the
       Lands within mentioned to be the Right & Estate of the within named Philip Drugan his Heirs and Assigns
       forever according to the true Intent and meaning thereof
