291 X.d This Indenture made the eighteenth Day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & seventy one Between Corbin Lee of Baltimore County of the one Part & Lettice Thomson of Prince Georges County Widow of the other Part Whereas Philip Lee the Father of the said Corbin Lee by his last Will & Testament duly executed proved & recorded among other Things did give & bequeath unto the said Corbin Lee (viz) "Item I give to my son Corbin Lee Two hundred Acres of Land Part of the Land called Rehoboth given by my honoured Father to him & his Heirs for ever" as by the said Will may more at large appear Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Corbin Lee for & in Consideration of the Love & Affection which he hath for the said Lettice Thomson his sister & also in Consideration of the Sum of ten shillings Sterling to him paid the Receipt of which is hereby acknowledged Hath given granted bargained & sold & by these Presents Doth give grant bargain & sell unto her the said Lettice Thomson All that the aforesaid undivided two hundred Acres of Land Part of the said Tract called Rehoboth mentioned & described in the said recited Will together with all Buildings Improvements Gardens Orchards Ways Waters Water Courses Easements Profits Commodities & Advantages whatsoever to the said Premises with the Appurtenances belonging or in any wise appertaining & the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders Rents Issues & Profits thereof & every Part & Parcel thereof & all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Trust Property Claim & Demand whatsoever of him the said Corbin Lee of into or out of the said Premises with the Appurtenances & every Part thereof To have and to hold the said undivided Two hundred Acres of Land & Premises with the Appurtenances unto her the said Lettice Thomson her Heirs & Assigns to the only proper Use & Behoof of the said Lettice Thom son her Heirs & Assigns for ever & to or for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the said Corbin Lee hath hereunto set his Hand & seal the Day & Year first above written Corbin Lee (seal) Signed Sealed & delivered in the Presence of Jon.a Plowman J Beale Howard Ja.s Gittings On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed to wit Received the Day & Year first within mentioned of & from the within named Lettice Thomson the Sum of ten Shillings Sterling the Consideration mentioned to be paid to me Witness Corbin Lee Jon.a Plowman J Beale Howard Ja.s Gittings On the Eighteenth Day of Decem.r one thousand seven hundred & seventy one came Corbin Lee Party to the within Indenture & acknowledged the same as his Act & Deed & the Land & Premises therein mentioned to be the Right & Estate of the said Lettice Thomson her Heirs & Assigns according to the true Intent & Meaning of the within Deed And at the same Time came Eleanor Wife of the said Corbin Lee & being by us privately examined apart from & out of the Hearing of her said Husband did release all her right & Title of Dower of & in the said Land unto the said Lettice Thompson & did declare she made the same release (of) |
