       to the only proper Use & Behoof of the aforesaid James Dick his Heirs Executors
       Administrators & Assigns for ever & to or for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever
       And the said John Buchanan for himself his Heirs Exors and Administrators
       doth hereby covenant & grant to & with the aforesaid James Dick his Heirs Executors
       Administrators & Assigns herein & hereby granted bargained sold & conveyed or meant
       mentioned or intended so to be with their Rights Members & Appurtenances to him
       the said James Dick his Heirs Exts Administrators & Assigns from & against him
       the said John Buchanan his Heirs Executors & Administrators & all Persons ^whatsoever^ claiming
       or to claim from by or under them or any of them shall & will warrant & for ever
       defend  In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably
       set their Hands & affixed their Seals the Day & Year first above written
           Signed Sealed & delivered                                          John Buchanan   (Seal)
                in the Presence of
                   Anthony Stewart
                   Will McGachen               On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was
                                                             thus endorst to wit

       Received on the Day & Year first within written of & from the within named
       James Dick the Sum of four thousand four hundred & seventy eight
       Pounds nine Shillings & seven Pence Sterling Money being the Consideration
       within mentioned to be by him paid to me
          Witness                                                 I say reced by
                      Anthony Stewart                                                John Buchanan
                      Will McGachen

             Know all men by these Presents that I the within named John Buchanan
       have made ordained constituted & appointed & by these Presents do make
       ordain constitute & appoint George Stewart Esquire & James Dundass of Maryland
       Merchants my Attornies jointly & each of them my Attorney severally to
       appear for me in the Provincial Court of the Province of Maryland or before
       any one of the Justices thereof or in the County Court of Baltimore County
       in the said Province of Maryland or before any two Justices of the same Court
       & to acknowledge the within Indenture to be the Act & Deed of me the said
       John Buchanan & the Premises within mentioned to be bargained & sold to be
       the Right & Estate of the within named James Dick his Heirs Executors
       Administrators & Assigns for ever according to the true Intent & Meaning of
