       Vide Deed Recorded in Liber D. D. N.o 4 folios 586 and 587

       On the fifteenth day of June 1770 Came Mary Ann the Wife of the within named
       Jesse Doyne before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for
       Charles County and acknowledged and relinquished all her Right and Title of
       Dower of in and to the Land and Premises within mentioned and thereby bargained
       and Sold ^by^ the said Jesse Doyne to within mentioned Thomas Ringgold and every part
       and parcel thereof with the Appurtenances And the said Mary Ann being by us
       the said subscribers examined privately apart from and out of the Hearing of
       her said Husband declared she made such Acknowledgement & Relinquishment
       willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fears or Threats of or ill
       Usage by her said husband or through fear of his Displeasure

       and Joseph Hanson Harrison Gent who signed the above Acknowledgement were at

       Assigns to whom full Faith and Credit is and ought to be given as well in Justices
       Court as thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and

          Know all men by these Presents that I Bartholomew Pomeroy of London Linen Draper
       Surviving Assignee of John Philpot and John Hutchinson late of London Merchants
       Bankrupts Have made ordained constituted and Appointed and by these Presents Do
       make Ordain Constitute and Appoint Frank Leeke of Upper Marlborough in the
       Province of Maryland Merchant and Ralph Forster of Pig Point in the same Province
       Merchant my true and Lawful Attorneys giving and by these Presents granting unto
       my said Attorneys Jointly and Severally full Power and Lawful Authority for me the said
       Bartholomew Pomeroy in my name and on my behalf in the Quality aforesaid To Sell and
       Dispose of all such Houses Lands and Estates in the said Province of Maryland in
       elsewhere in America belonging to the Estate of the said Bankrupts by Private or
       Publick Sale to such Person or Persons and for such Consideration Sum or Sums
       of Money as my said Attorneys Jointly or Severally shall think proper and upon
       Receipt of the Consideration Money to arise by such Sale or Sales in the Name of me
       the said Bartholomew Pomeroy to Sign Seal Execute and Deliver all Necessary Deed or
       Deeds of Leases and Releases Assignments and Conveyances of the said Houses
       Lands and Estates with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging to the Purchaser or
       Purchasers thereof with the Usual Covenants and Warranties and to Acknowledge
       the same as the Act and Deed Acts and Deeds of me the said Bartholomew Pomeroy
       in any Court or Courts of Record according to the Laws and Customs of the Province
       Also for me the said Bartholomew Pomeroy in my Name and on my behalf To
       ask Demand and Receive of and from all and every person and persons whom
       it doth or may Concern all such Sum and Sums of Money Goods Wares Merchandize
       Effects and things whatsoever which he they or any of them now have or may hereafter
       have in his their or any of their Hands Custody or Possession due owing payable
