       This Indenture made the twenty seventh Day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand
       seven hundred and seventy one  Between Joseph Ensor of Cæcil County of the one Part and Charles Carroll
       Esquire of Carrollton of the other Part  Witnesseth that the said Joseph Ensor for and in Consideration of the
       Sum of Six hundred and seventy six Pounds nineteen Shillings and nine Pence Sterling to him in hand paid
       by the said Charles Carroll at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth
       hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and of and from every Part and Parcel thereof doth hereby release
       acquit and Discharge the aforesaid Charles Carroll his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns
       and every of them Hath given granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed and confirmed, and by
       these Presents  Doth give grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto him the said Charles
       Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever, one undivided Moiety of all that Tract or Parcel of Land called
       Mount Pleasant containing in the whole one hundred and fifty Acres, all that Tract of Land called
       Adjunction containing twenty five Acres except five Acres thereof for the Conveyance of which same five
       Acres to John Hart he the said Joseph Ensor hath made and passed his Bond to the aforesaid John Hart
       one hundred and five Acres of Land called Merrymans Lot also thirty five Acres of Land being Part of a Tract
       or Parcel of Land called Hailes Addition adjoining to the said dwelling Plantation of Nicholas Haile deceased
       which same two last mentioned Parcels or Parts of Tracts or Parcels of Land were devised to Neale Haile (of
       whom the said Joseph Ensor lately purchased the same) by his Father the said Nicholas Haile deceased and
       also the several Tracts or Parcels of Land following to wit Addition to Mount Pleasant containing twenty
       five Acres, The square containing twenty five Acres, Come by Chance containing two hundred and eighty
       two Acres and Ensigns Grove containing three hundred and eighty Acres all and every of which said Lands
       and Premises are situate lying and being in Baltimore County Together with all Houses Buildings Gardens
       Orchards Woods Underwoods Waters Water Courses ^Ways^ Easements Profits Priviledges Improvements Advantages
       and Appurtenances whatsoever on the same Lands herein and hereby bargained sold and
       Conveyed or meant mentioned or intended to be bargained sold and Conveyed being to the same belonging or
       in any wise appertaining and the Revertion and Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues &
       Profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Trust Possession
       Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Joseph Ensor of in and to the same and
       every Part and Parcel thereof To have and to hold the said Lands herein and hereby bargained Sold
       and conveyed or meant mentioned or intended to be bargained sold and Conveyed and each and every of
       them with their and each and every of their Rights Members and Appurtenances to him the said Charles
       Carroll his Heirs and Assigns to the only proper Use and Behoof of the aforesaid Charles Carroll his Heirs and
       Assigns for ever and to or for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever and the said Joseph Ensor for himself
       his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant and grant to and with the aforesaid
       Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Joseph Ensor and his Heirs the said Land herein
       and hereby bargained sold and Conveyed or meant mentioned or intended to be bargained sold and Conveyed
       and each and every of them with their and each and every of their Rights Members and Appurtenances unto
       him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns from and against all manner of persons whatsoever shall
       and will warrant and for ever defend  Provided, ^always^ that if the said Joseph Ensor his Heirs Executors or Administrators
       do and shall well and truly pay to the aforesaid Charles Carroll his Exts Admrs or Assigns the said
