193 and every Part and Parcell thereof with all and every of their Appurtenances unto him the said John Buchanan his Heirs and Assigns for ever to the only proper use and Behoof of him the said John Buchanan his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to and for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever And the said Anthony Stewart for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators hereby covenants grants and agrees to and with the said John Buchanan his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Anthony Stewart and his Heirs the said hereby granted Lands and Premises with their and every of their Appurtenances unto him the said John Buchanan his Heirs and Assigns against him the said Anthony Stewart his Heirs and Assigns and against all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever claiming or which shall hereafter Claim by from or under him, them, or any of them shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these Presents. In Witness whereof the Party first to these Presents hath hereunto set his Hand and seal the Day and year first above written Anthony Stewart (seal) Signed Sealed and delivered in the Presence of James Dundass Charles Steuart On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus endorsed viz Received the 3.d Day of July 1771 of John Buchanan three hundred and eleven pound ten Shillings Pensilvania Money it being the Consideration Money to be paid by him to me Witness Anthony Stewart James Dundass Charles Steuart On the 3.d Day of July 1771 Came the within named Anthony Steuart before me the Subscriber one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court and did acknowledge the within Deed to be his Act and Deed, and the Lands and Premises within mentioned to be the proper Right and Estate of the within named John Buchanan his Heirs and Assigns for ever; according to the true Intent and meaning of the within Deed, and the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Received of M.r John Buchanan the sum of one Pound sixteen Shillings and two pence sterling for the Use of Lord Baltimore it being the Alienation Money on the within Land by virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Recorded this 3.d Day of July 1771 John Brice 6 sides NB The Deed Carroll to Ensor Page 195 & 196 ought to have been recorded here before the Deed on page 194. |
