       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t

       Received of David Ross the Sum of Eighteen Pounds Current Money of Maryland being
       the Consideration Money within mentioned as witness my hand this twenty ninth day
       of March 1770

       Frederick County Came Thomas Mills before us two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace
       for the County aforesaid and Acknowledged the within Deed and Sale of Land & the Premises
       within mentioned to be the Right and Title of David Ross his Heirs and Assigns forever
       And at the same time Catharine Mills wife of the said Thomas Mills being first
       Privately examined out of the Hearing of her said Husband acknowledged her Right
       of Dower to the within Land willingly and freely without being induced thereto
       through fear or Threats of or ill Usage of her         Husband or fear of his Displeasure
       taken and Acknowledged before us this 29.th day of March 1770   Tho.s Prather

       Received of M.r David Ross the Sum of four Pence Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore
       it being the Alienation Money on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from John
       Morton Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General

       This Indenture made this third day of April one Thousand seven hundred & seventy
       Between John Bruner of Frederick County in the Province of Maryland Inn holder of the
       one part and David Ross of Prince Georges County & Province aforesaid Gentleman of the other
       part Witnesseth that the said John Bruner for and in Consideration of the sum of one Hundred
       and Sixty two Pounds Current Money of Maryland in hand paid by the said David Ross
       the receipt whereof the said John Bruner doth hereby acknowledge & discharge the said David
       Ross his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and of every part & parcel thereof
       doth acquit and discharge the said David Ross his Heirs Executors Administrators and
       Assigns forever by these Presents hath granted bargained and sold aliend and Confirm'd
       and by these Presents doth fully and Absolutely and clearly grant bargain sell alien
       and confirm unto the said David Ross his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Tract
       or parcel of land called Bruners Purchase being the whole Contents of the Original
       and also apart of the resurvey on Anteetum bottom leying and being scituated on the
       side of Potomack River in the County and Province aforesaid Beginning at the
       Beginning tree of a parcel of Land sold by a certain John Moore unto Thomas Mills
       being a Black Oak standing on Potomack River side also the beginning tree
       of the Resurvey made on the said parcel of Land sold as aforesaid by Thomas
       Mills unto the aforesaid John Bruner and running thence North seven Degrees
       and one half degree East Thirty Perches then North Thirty degrees East fourteen
       Perches then South Seventy four degrees East Thirty perches South forty eight degrees
       East Two hundred and fifty six Perches then South Twenty six degrees East Ten
       Perches South Sixty five degrees West Seventy two Perches to the end of Twenty
       Perches on the thirty sixth Line of the said Resurvey on part of Anteetum bottom and
       running with the Lines of the said Resurvey North Twenty nine degrees West Eleven
       Perches then North Thirty two degrees West one Hundred Perches then North forty nine
       Degrees West Thirty six Perches then North fifty degrees West forty Perches then
       North fifty three degrees West Twenty eight Perches then by a Streight Line to the
       Beginning tree containing Eighty one Acres of Land be it more or Less together
       with all and singular the Houses buildings or Edefices thereunto belonging
