(87) persons to my own use (except my Salary from my principal) any Fee or reward whatsoever for any Service I Shall do as Clerk of the said office And also that in making out the office Fees I will not wittingly or willingly charge other or higher Fees then limitted by the Act entituled an Act for amending the Staple of Tobacco for preventing frauds in his Majestys Customs and for Limitation of officers fees Sworn to this 20.th May 1766 Before me one of his Lordships Justices of the peace of Ann.l County Recorded 20.th May 1766 Reverdy Ghiselin Examined This Indenture made this Sixteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and sixty six Between James Hutchings of Kent Island in Queen Anns County in the province of Maryland Ferryman of the one part and John Beale Bordley of Baltimore County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said James Hutchings for and in Consideration of the sum of seventeen hundred pounds Current Money in hand paid to the said James Hutchings by the said John Beale Bordley before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said James Hutchings doth hereby acknowledge and therefrom acquit and discharge the said John Beale Bordley his heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them by these presents Hath granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents Doth grant bargain sell alien release enfeoffe and confirm unto him the said John Beale Bordley his heirs and Assigns All those two tracts or parcells of Land the one called Fancy scituate lying and being in Kent County containing by patent five hundred Acres of Land more or less and the other being all that part of a tract or parcell of Land called Providence as ascertained and described in a conveyance dated the thirteenth day of May seventeen hundred and fifty five between George Griffith of Kent County aforesaid of the one part and John Bordley of the said County of the other part containing by estimation sixty acres more or less Together with all Edifices Buildings Gardens Orchards ways waters water Courses Commodities priviledges Improvements Emoluments advantages and appurtenances whatsoever to the same two tracts or parcels of Lander to either of them belonging or Appurtaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profitts thereof and of every part and parcell thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest use Trust property Claim and Demand whatsoever of the said James Hutchings of in or to the said premisses or any part thereof To have and to hold the said two tracts or parcells of Land and all and Singular the premisses with their and every of their Rights members and appurtenances unto the said John Beale Bordley his heirs and assigns for ever and to or for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever And the said James Hutchings for himself his heirs Executors & Administrators (doth) |
