       In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably
       set their hands and affixed their seals the Day and Year first above
       written

       On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endors'd viz.t

       Received on the Day and year first within written of and from the within named
       Jeremiah Covell the sum of ten Shillings Sterling being the consideration
       within mentioned to be by him paid to me

       On the second Day of April 1766 Came before me the            Subscriber one
       of his Lordships Provincial Justices the within named Thomas Johnson
       Junior and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his
       Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses within mentioned to be
       bargained & sold with the appurtenances to be the Right and
       Estate of the within named Jeremiah Covell his heirs & assigns
       according to the true intent of the same Deed

             This Indenture made this thirty first Day of October Anno Domini
       One thousand seven hundred and sixty five  Between Henry Trippe of Dorchester
       County in the province of Maryland of the one part and George Maxwell of Charles
       County merchant of the other part  Witnesseth that the said Henry Trippe for
       and in consideration of the sum of six hundred pounds sterling money of
       Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said George Maxwell
       the Receipt whereof the said Henry Trippe doth hereby confess and acknowledge
       he the said Henry Trippe hath Granted bargained and Sold and
       by these presents doth grant Bargain and Sell unto the said George
       Maxwell all that part of a Message or Tenament of a Tract of Land lying and
       being in Dorchester County called Carthagena containing Eleven hundred
       and forty acres of Land more or less whereof M.rs Elizabeth Trippe lately dwelt
       and also the Revertion and Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents
       and Services of all and singular the said premises above mentioned and
       of every part and parcell thereof with the appurtenances To have and to hold
