       Reced two Shillings Sterling being the Alienation Fine for the within Land
       for use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from John Morton
       Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and receiver General

       This Indenture made this 2.d day of April in the Year of our Lord one
       Thousand seven hundred and seventy Betwn Benjamin Burges Cheney of
       Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part and
       John Elder of he said County and Province aforesaid of the other Witnesseth
       that he the said Benjamin Burges Cheney for an in Consideration of the
       Sum of Three hundred and Sixty Pounds Currant Money to him in hand
       paid or secured to be paid by the said John Elder at or before the Ensealing
       and Delivery of these Presents the receipt wareof the said Benjamin Burges
       Cheney doth hereby acknowledge and thereof doth Acquit Exonerate and
       fully discharge the said John Elder his Heirs and Assigns for ever
       hath given granted bargained and sold and by these Presents do give
       grant bargain sell Alienate Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said John
       Elder his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that part or parcells of Lands
       being part of a Tract of Land Cawled Adams Gardin lying and being in
       Baltimore County Begining at a White Oak bounded with nine Notches
       standing on the side of a Branch on the South side of the Piney fawls
       and runing thence North Seventeen degrees East one hundred & twelve
       Perches then South seventy nine degrees West four Perches to the end of the
       Second Coars of that part Laid out for Thomas Harley then North
       forty four degrees West one Hundred and Ninety two Perches to Intersect
       the forth Ninth Cours of the Hole Tract then with Origanall Lines revers of
       the Courses thereof South Eleven degrees West Nine Perches to the Begining
       of the said Cours then South Seventy degrees West Twenty two Perches
       then South seven degrees and thirty Minutes West one Hundred and fifty four
       Perches to the end Twenty seventh Cours of the aforesaid Adams Garden then with
       the Origanall Lines Reverse of the Courses thereof the four following Courses
       Viz.t North Sixty nine degrees East forty two Perches South Eighty five degrees
       East Sixty Perches to the Piney fawls then South fifteen degrees East Fifty
       Perches then South Twenty degrees West Twenty seven Perches thence with a
       Strait Line to the first Begining containing and Laid out for one hundred
       and fifty Achers of Land and one ^other^ Tract of Land lying in Baltimore
       County Cawled Cheneys Stoney Meadow Begining at a Rock Stone marked
       BBC Lying on a Hill in the fork of Little Souldurs Delight Branch
       and runing thence North Thirty degrees East forty four Perches South
       Sixty six D.s East Tirty four perches South five degrees East Thirty eight
       Perches South Tirty three degrees East Thirty perches South Twenty degrees
       East twenty eight perches South seventy five degrees West Twenty
       Perches South fifty five degrees West Thirty perches North forty degrees
       West Sixteen perches North ten degrees East forty eight perches then with
       a Strate Line to the first Begining Containing and Laid out for Thirty
       Achers of Land more or Less together with all and Singular the
       Premises and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise
       Appertaining To Have and to Hold the said Lands and
