       Premises with their Appurtenances unto him the said John Elder his Heirs and
       Assigns for ever and to only use and behoof of him the said John Elder his
       Heirs and Assigns for ever and the said Benjamin Burges Cheney for himself
       and his Heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant and Agree to
       and with the said John Elder his Heirs and Assigns that he the said Benjamin
       Burges Cheney his Heirs Executors and Administrators shall and will Warramt
       and forever defend the said Lands and Premises with there Appurtenances
       of in or to the same or any part or parcel thereof and from all other Defects and
       Incumbrances whatsoever and Lastly that the said Benjamin Burgess Cheney
       doth further Covenant Promise and Agree for himself his Heirs Executors and
       Administrators to and with the said John Elder his Heirs and Assigns
       that he the said Benjamin Burgess Cheney his Heirs Executors and
       Administrators shall and will from Time to Time and at all Times hereafter
       at the reasonable Request of the said John Elder his Heirs and Assigns make
       such further other grant and Assurance for the more sure making and
       Confirming the said Lands and Premises unto the said John Elder his Heirs
       and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and meaning hereof as he or
       they by his Council Learned in the Law reasonably devised advised or required
       In Witness whereof the said Benjamin Burges Cheney hath unto set his
       hand and Affixed his Seale the day and Year above Written
       Signed Sealed and Delivered
       in the Presents of
                                     Tho.s Gassaway son Nich.s
                                        Edw.d Dorsey son Ed                  Benj.a Burges Cheney   (seal)

          On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t

       Received this second day of April one Thousand seven hundred & Seventy of the
       within named John Elder the Sum of Three Hundred and Seventy pounds Currant
       Money being the Consideration money of the within mentioned Witness my hand
       Witness  Geo Steuart

       Ann Arundel County fs.t   On the 2.nd day of April one Thousand seven hundred
       and Seventy Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provinchal
       Majestrates for the Province of Maryland the within Named Benjamin
       Burges Cheney and Acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and
       Deed and the Land and Premises to be the Right and Estate of the within
       Named John Elder his Heirs and Assigns for ever
                                                                      Geo Steuart

       Reced of John Elder the Sum of seven Shillings Sterling Money being the
       Alienation Fine on the within Land for the use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of
       a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships
       Agent & receiver General
