       On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus written Viz.t  
      
       Received on the day and year first within written of and from
       the within named Thomas Sprigg the sum of Right hundred
       and Twenty five pounds Sterling money being the consideration
       money within mentioned to be by him paid to me
       Witness                     I say received by
                Jn.o Ijams, Sam.l Chew                     Stephen Watkins
                   Annarundel County fs.t
                                  On the thirty first day of October 1765 Came
       before us the subscribers Two of his Lordships of Annarundel County
       Justices the within named Stephen Watkins and Acknowledged
       the within Instrument of Writing to be his act and Deed and
       the Land and Premisses within granted bargained and sold or
       meant mentioned or intended so to be, to be the Right and Estate
       of the within named Thomas Sprigg his heirs and assigns for
       ever to his and their own proper use according to the purport
       true intent and meaning of the within Deed and the act of
       assembly in such case made and provided  And at the same
       Time came also before us Elinor the wife of the said Stephen
       Watkins who being by us privately examined ^a part from and^ out of the hearing
       of her said Husband did release & relinquish and did Declare
       that She did by this her acknowledgment intent to release and
       relinquish to him the said Thomas Sprigg and his heirs all her
       Right ^Title Interest and Claim^ of Dower of in and to the said Premisses and she also acknowledged
       and declared that She made this her acknowledgement
       and release of Dower voluntarily and freely without being induced
       thereto by Fears or Threats of or ill usage from her said husband
       or through Fear of his Displeasure

       at nine OClock on the 31.st day
       of October 1765 in the afternoon
