(601) Claiming by from or under them or either of them or any of them shall & will by these presents forever Warrant & Defend the rents and services hereafter to grow Due and Payable to the Chief Lord or Lords of the Premises only excepted Foreprized and Further the said James & Mary Smith for themselves their Heirs Executors and Adm.rs Doth Covenant to & with the said William Loker his heirs and Assigns that them or thay at any time or times within seven Years after the Date hereof, shall & will at the reasonable request & Proper Charges in the Law of him the said William Locker his heirs and Assignes Execute any further Deed so that the same Extend not to Other then Speciall Warranty that by him or them or his or their Councell Learned in the Law Shall be reasonable Advised Devised or required In Testimony Whereof the said James & Mary Smith hereunto hath set thir hands & Seals the Day & Year first Above written Sealed and Delivered James Smith (seal) in the Presence of us R Barnhouse Mary Smith (seal) John Biscoe On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written August the Ninth Seventeen hundred & Sixty Nine Then came the within named James Smith and Mary Smith and Acknowledged the within Indenture to be thir Act and Deed and the Land and Premises within mentioned to be the right of the said William Loker his heirs & Assigns forever according to an Act of Assembly in such Cases made & Provided Acknowledged before us the Subscribers ^being^ two of his Lordships Justices for Saint Marys County R Barnhouse Recorded the 30.th Day September 1769 John Biscoe Ex.d Maryland Sc.t To all People to whome these presents shall Come I Richard Shekells of Ann arundell County of the Province aforesaid do send Greeting Know ye that I the said Richard Shekells for & and in Consideration of the Love Goodwill and affection which I have & do bear towards my loving Daughter Ann Shekells wife of Abraham Shekells of Frederick County have given & Granted & by these Presents do freely give and Grant unto my said Daughter Ann Shekells One Negro Girl called Rachel which Girl is now in her & her said Husband Abraham Possession during her Natural Life and at her decease then the said Negro Rachel and her increase to be Equally divided amongst the Children of my aforesaid Daughter Ann to them & their Heirs forever Absolutely without any manner of Condition in Witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand & & Seal this fourth Day of October 1769 Signed Sealed & Delivered Richard Shekell (seal) in the Presence of Elisha Harrison Sam.l Harrison Jun.r Recorded the 5.th of October 1769 |
