       the same time Marget the wife of the said William Howard being Privately Examined
       by us out of the Hearing of her husband Acknowledged her right of Dower to the within
       mention Land and Premises to be the right of the within mentioned Francis Spinks his
       heirs & assigns forever and that she did the same freely & willingly without any threats
       or Compultion of her husband or fear of gaining his Displeasure

       This Indenture the ninth Day of August Seventeen hundred Sixty nine between James
6 sides   Smith & Mary Smith boath of Trinity Manner in Saint Marys County and Province of
       Maryland of the one Part and William Loker of the County & Province aforesaid Planter
       of the other Part Witnesseth that the said James Smith & Mary Smith for and in Consideration of
       Six hundred & Fifty pounds Currency well & truly in Hand paid unto the said James and
       Mary Smith by the said William Loker & the receipt of the same the said James & Mary
       Smith doth Fully acknowledge at and Before the ensealing & Delivery of these Presents
       whereof & Wherewith the said James & Mary Smith doth Acknowledge themselves fully
       satisfied Contented & paid and thereof and every part and parcell thereof doth Clearly
       acquit Exonerate & Discharge the said William Locker his heirs Ex.s and Assignes And
       by these Presents hath Bargained Alened Sold and Confirmed & by these Presents do fully
       clearly & Absolutely Grant Bargain sell & Alien & confirm unto the said William Loker
       his heirs and Assigns all that Plantation or Tract of Land where one James Smith father of the
       aforesaid James Smith formerly Lived and bought by him of Gabril Parker of Calvert County
       the said tract of land Deemed to to be two hundred and Tenn Acres be it more or Less and lying
       in Trinity Manner in the County aforesaid with al rights members and appurtenances together
       with all houses Dwelling houses and Improvements whatsoever on the Appertenances thereunto
       belonging or any ways appertaining to have & to hold the said Land & Tenements and all and
       Singular the Premises hereby Granted and Sold with every of their Appurtenances whatsoever
       to the said William Locker his heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs Assignes forever and the said James &
       Mary Smith for themselves there heirs and Assignes the said and & Tenements & at
       other the Premises before granted unto him the said William Loker his heirs and Assigns
       from and against the lawfull Claim of them or either of them the said James Smith
       and Mary Smith thir heirs Exr.s or Admrs and all other Persons whatsoever
