(602) Ex.d Maryland fs To all People to whome these presents shall Come I Richard Shekells of Annarundell County of the Province afforesaid do Send Greeting Know ye that I the said 1½ Richard Shekells for and in Consideration of the Love Good Will & Affection which I have & bear towards my Loving Daughter Mary Roberts Wife of Thomas ^Miles^ Roberts of Frederick County have given and Granted and by these presents do ^freely^ Give and Grant unto my said Daughter Mary Roberts One Negro Girl Called Molly which Girl is now in her & her said Husbands Thomas ^Miles^ Roberts Possession during her Natural Life and at her decease then the said Negro Molly and her increase to be Equally Divided amongst the Children of my aforesaid Daughter Mary to them & their heirs forever Absolutely without any manner of Condition In Witness Whereof I have hereunto put my Hand and seal this fourth Day of October 1769 Signed Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of Richard Shekell (seal) Elisha Harrison Sam.l Harrison Jun.r Recorded the 5.th Day of October 1769 Ex.d This Indenture made this ninth Day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred & Sixty nine Between Charles Allanson Ford of Charles County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one Part and Michael Cresap of Frederick County in the province aforesaid Farmer of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Charles Allanson Ford for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in Hand paid before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the receipt whereof he doth Hereby Acknowledge hath Given Granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents doth give Grant Bargain Sell alien enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Michael Cresap his heirs & Assigns forever all that tract or parcell of Land called Charles's Lott lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid Originally on the Eleventh Day of December in the year of Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty Six granted unto him the said Charles Allanson Ford for One Hundred Acres, by Patent under the great Seal of the Province aforesaid Recorded in Liber B. C. & G. S. N.o 29 one of the Record Books belonging to the Land Office of the said Province Referrence being thereunto had may more fully appear together with all rights Profits Benefits & Previledges thereunto Belonging To have & to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with the Appurtenances to him the said Michael Cresap his heirs & Assigns forever and the said Charles Allanson Ford doth for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators covenant promise grant & agree to and with the said Michael Cresap his heirs & Assigns that he the said Charles Allanson Ford his heirs Executors & Administrators the said tract or parcell of Land with the Appurtenances hereby Granted or Sold or mentioned to be Granted & Sold and Every part or Parcel thereof unto the said Michael Cresap his (Heirs) |
