       Containing two hundred and twenty Six Acres more or less and Other the
       Premisses with the Appurtenances unto him the said Jeremiah Magruder
       his heirs and Assigns against himself the said Thomas and his heirs
       and against all Other Person or Persons Whatsoever Claiming by from or
       Under him or them Shall and will warrant and for ever defend by
       these Presents In Witness whereof the Parties have hereunto interchangeably
       Sett their Hands and Seals the day and year first above written

       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Indorsed to wit

       Received of the within named Jeremiah Magruder the Sum of five
       hundred Pounds Sterling being the Consideration within Mentioned to be
       by him Paid to me the day and year first within written
       Test            Henry Hall                                             Tho.s Rutland
                            Rob.t Couden

       Aprill the 7.th 1769  Then came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships
       Justices for Ann Arund.l County the within Named Thomas
       Rutland and Acknowledged the within Instrument ^of Writing^ to be his Act
       and Deed and the lands and Premisses therein Specifyed to be the
       Right and Estate of the within Named Jeremiah Magruder his heirs
       and Assigns according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof also Ann
       the wife of him the said Tho.s Rutland being by us Privately Examined
       apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband and did
       Repeat as abovesaid and also declared that She hereby Released and
       Right or Title of Dower She might have in the said Land and that
       She made the acknowledgment of her Own free will & Accord without
       being induced thereto by threts or for fear of the Displeasure of Her
       said Husband agreeable to the Act of Assembly in such Cases made

       1769 April 7.th Rec.d of M.r Jeremiah Magruder the Sum of Nine
       Shillings and One half Penny Sterling for the use of Lord Baltimore
       being the Alienation fine on the within Land & by Virtue of a Commission
