(512) Shillings and two Pence Sterling Money the Consideration Money within Mentioned to be Paid by him to me p me Sarah Brice Witness R Ghiselin Rob.t Couden Be it Remembered that the within Named Sarah Brice and John Brice Came before Us the Subscribers two of his Lordship's Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County and Acknowledged the within Deed to be their Act and the Land and Premisses with their Appurtenances thereby bargained Sold and Assigns to be the Estate of the within Named Thomas Ruland his Heirs and Assigns for ever taken and Certified according to the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided by me this twenty third day of January Anno Domini 1768 R Ghiselin 11¼ Rob.t Couden recorded the 22.d day of February 1769 Ex.d This Indenture Made the twenty fifth Day of January in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Nine Between John Welsh of Ann Arundel County Eldest Brother & Heir at Law of Benjamin Welsh Late of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman deceased of the one Part and Thomas Rutland of Ann Arundel County afs.d Gentleman of the Other Part whereas the af.d Benjamin Welsh in his Lifetime on or about the twenty third Day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty four by his certain Deed of Mortgage did give grant bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff release and Confirm unto John Brice Late of the City of Annapolis deceased and his Heirs all those two Tracts or Parcels of Land Lying and being in Prince Georges County the One Called Snowden and Welsh in defiance of Williams and Clark Originally on or about the 12.th Day of April Anno Domini 1716 granted to Richard Snowden and John Welsh Father of the afs.d John Welsh for Six hundred Acres of Land more or less the Other called Bacon Hall Containing fifty four Acres of Land more or Less which was Purchased by the afs.d John Welsh the Father of and from a certain Thomas Sprigg Junior also Part of a Tract of Land Lying in Ann Arundel County aforesaid Near the Head of South River Called Arnold Grey the same being the Late dwelling Plantation of the af.d John Welsh the Father and which the said Benjamin Welsh on or about the Sixth day of September 1749 Purchased of the aforesaid John Welsh Party hereto Containing three hundred Acres of Land more or Less with their Appurtenances (and) |
