       John Brice Late of the City of Annapolis deceased and John Bruce Heir
       at Law of the said John Brice of the one Part and Thomas Rutland of Ann
       Arundel County Gentleman of the Other Part Whereas Benjamin Welsh of
       Ann Arundel County Planter by Indenture made between him the said
       Benjamin Welsh of the one Part and the aforesaid John Brice of the
       Other Part bearing Date the Twenty third Day of April in the year of
       our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty four for and in
       Consideration of the Sum of five hundred and forty five Pounds Sterling
       Money therein Mentioned to be Paid by the said John Brice to the
       said Benjamin Welsh did give grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff
       release and Confirm unto the said John Brice his Heirs and Assigns
       for ever all those two Tracts or Parcels of Land Lying and being in Prince
       George's County the One Called Snowden and Welsh in Defiance of
       Williams and Clark Originally on or about the 12.th Day of April Anno
       Domini 1716 granted to Richard Snowden and John Welsh Father of the
       aforesaid Benjamin Welsh for Six hundred Acres of Land more or Less the
       Other Called Baron Hall Containing fifty four Acres of Land more
       or Less which was Purchased by the said John Welsh father of the aforesaid
       Benjamin Welsh of and from a certain Thomas Sprigg Junior also Part
       of a Tract of Land Lying in Ann Arundel County aforesaid near the
       head of South River called Arnold Grey the same being the Late dwelling
       Plantation of the said John Welsh and which the said Benjamin Welsh
       on or about the Sixth Day of September 1749 Purchased of his Brother
       John Welsh Containing three hundred Acres of Land More or Less together
       with all and Singular the Premisses and Appurtenances and each and
       Every of the said Tracts or Parcells of Land belonging or in any wise
       Appertaining Also the Several Negroes following to wit Harry, Dick Ned
       Nick, Will, Jack, Tom, Jack, Sam, Arthur, Reasin, Will, Harry, Moses
       Soloman, Isaac, Priss, Cate, Tamer, Barbary, Rachel, Pegg, Sall, Suck
       and Joe, with the Increase of the said Priss, Cate, Tamer, Barbary
       Rachel Pegg, Sall and Suck Alias Susanna To have and to hold the
       aforesaid three Several Tracts or Parcels of Land and Premisses with their and
       every of their Appurtenances also the aforesaid Several Negroes with the
       Increase of the said Priss, Cate, Tamer, Barbary, Rachel, Pegg, Sall and
       Suck Alias Susanna, unto him the said John Brice his Heirs and Assigns
       to the only Proper Use and Behoof of the said John Brice his Heirs and
       Assigns for ever in which said Indenture was a Proviso for Redemption
       of the said Premisses in these words or to this Effect following (to wit) Provided
       always and it is the true intent and Meaning of these Presents that in
       Case the said Benjamin Welsh his Heirs Executors and Administrators
       shall well and truly pay or cause to be Paid unto the above Named
