(50) Charles Carroll his heirs or assigns in witness whereof the said Charles Carroll Esq hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day and year above Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Cha Carroll (seal) Will.m Digges Jun.r Fra Digges On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus written Viz.t October 31.st 1765 Received of Casper Rinekar the sum of five shillings Currency being the Consideration Money within Expressed Testes Fra Digges Cha Carroll John Macnabb Maryland October 31.st 1765 Came Charles Carroll Esq & Acknowledg'd the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed according to the Act of Assembly in that Case Made & provided Jn.o Brice Recorded 31.st October 1765 3¾ sides Examined To all whom these presents Shall Come Charles Carroll Esquire of the City of Annapolis sendeth Greeting Whereas a certain John Digges late of Prince Georges County Gentleman deceased did in his Lifetime by his Deed of Bargain and sale bearing Date on or about the twenty fourth Day of November seventeen hundred and Forty four for a Valuable Consideration in the said Deed Mentioned Mortgage Sundry Lands for uses and purposes therein mentioned and among other Lands what remain'd unsold of a Tract of Land called Digges's Choice being by Estimation Eighteen hundred Acres lying in Baltimore County to the said Charles Carroll in his own Right to him and Charles Carroll of Annapolis Surgeon (Since deceased) two of the acting Executors of James Carroll late of Ann Arundel County deceased and Daniel Dulany of Annapolis (since deceased) as by the said Deed now remaining on Record in Liber E I N.o 8 folio 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17 one of the provincial court Land Records Reference being thereunto had may more (fully) |
