(479) other ways means as by his and their Council learned in the Law shall be reasonable Advised or Required In Witness whereof the said John Hall hath hereunto set his Hand and Seal the Day and Year above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered John Hall (seal) in the presence of us Tho Price Joseph Gaither On the Back of which Deed was thus Endorsed (to wit) Received the Day and Year first within written of the within Named Christian Bower the Sum of sixty five Pounds being the Consideration Money within mentioned I say received P John Hall Test Tho Price Joseph Gaither On the second Day of November 1768 came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Frederick County John Hall partie to the within Deed and acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the within Named Christian Bower his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and meaning of the said Deed Tho Price Acknowledged before W.m Luckett I have Received the sum of two shillings and one half penny ster.g for an Alienation Fine on the within Lands November 23.d 1768 Bennet Allen Recorded the 24.th Day of November 1768 Examd This Indenture made the second Day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty eight Between John Hall of Beadford County in the Colony of Virginia Farmer of the one part and George Everhart of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Hall for and in consideration of the sum of sixteen pounds to him in hand paid or secured to be paid by the said George Everhart the receipt whereof the said John Hall doth acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and discharge the said George Everhart his Executors and Administrators hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said George Everhart his Heirs and Assigns All that Tract or Parcell of Land called Halls Addition lying and being on the Line between Frederick and Baltimore County's on the Fork of Great Pipe Creek Beginning at the End of the twenty six Perches on the North twenty Degrees West sixty Perches line of the said Land and runing then North twenty Degrees West thirty four Perches then South fifty five Degrees west one hundred and eighteen Perches then South forty three Degrees East eighteen Perches and then with a streight line to the place of Beginning containing and now laid out for seventeen Acres be the same more or less Together with all and singular the Appurtenances and Buildings whatsoever thereunto belonging (or) |
